So were the 70's for us Saints fans!!! All of these were from the 70's.
These were off the top of my head. I have MANY Saints scars, lol...

old farts can wear some armor from being a steadfast fan while it took your team 20 years to get above .500 for the first time

Maxson is correct, he rushed for 248 yds, (think thats the exact number) against the St Louis Cardinals. Steve Rogers is correct!!! Well done.
Hint for number 1: He went to UL
Edit: The REAL UL
Wound up his career with the Baltimore Colts.

had to look finally
got him
good obscurity, Howard Stevens
youngsters may not know the draft was 17 rounds until 1976 so the list of fringe players was much deeper
I'll see Stevens and raise you Bivian Lee and Tinker Owens
hijack: we did a alltime best Saints by numbers countdown last year. Tinker Owens was voted Mr. #83. So few pics of himthat I wrote him an email. He replied and sent some. Sez he still keeps in contact with the old guys but that today's Saints are much more fun to talk about.

I love the numbers games. Bivian Lee was 11, btw.
Who won for 15? Rich Szarro, or Gary Cuozzo, lol?
Howard Stephens was an exciting little return man from Louisville. Used to talk with him, Jess Phillips and many other players after games in the bowels if Tulane Stadium!

We've had three UF recievers. They should be easy to name.
One wore 88 and the other two wore 89.

willie jackson wore #88

Oh wow, very good, Cannon! i forgot about Willie Jackson. He played, what, two years here?
That makes TWO Gators that wore 88 and two 89.
Joel Parker was the other 88. The 89's were Wes Chandler and Tyrone Young, of "Ty in the sky" fame.

One of the funniest things I remember about Bouman was in like 2000-01 or something the Saints lost a home game to Carolina on a last second Kasay field goal, they put Bouman in to try and block because he won a slam dunk contest in college haha... Kasay made it....

yep, 2000 and 2001.
the guy was a thorn in the Rams side. He had that huge game in the first ever playoff win but also had other games where he went off on them. I remember him having a big game against them in the MNF game at the Dome in 2001. The Saints lost but he still put up like 140-150 yards receiving I think.
it was the same game that bottles were thrown on the field after a horseshite call on Kevin Mathis.

I was at this game as well. you wanna talk about scary? I was like 10 years old sitting on the 4th row watching beer bottles being hurled from the terrace level.
I'm 21 years old. The 2000s questions were so easy. I try to do good at old saints trivia, but obscure players are tough.
