I'm sure Reggie wants a new deal as much as we want him to have one. No one wants to go into the final year of a contract at 25 years old. It's too easy to take a career ending injury and he'd never see money again. He'll either take what we offer, or take more from a lesser franchise. I'd like to see a new deal worked out, personally. But I also realize that life without Reggie isn't going to change much in this offense.

So far of what we know about reggie from his career:

Ain't worth a frick coming off an injury
Ain't worth a frick not coming off an injury
pretty much not worth a frick

He earned his paycheck by being the best player in college football. Now his new contract will be based on his performances in the NFL. That's how it works. Get over it.

Well, I'm sure as hell glad this shite will be changing with the new CBA

So are you guys more pissed at the FO for drafting and paying Reggie this money for 5 years or at Reggie for getting hit with the injury bug through out his career and that he hasn't put up rushing stats that a featured back that gets 25 carries per game gets???

God, you people are insufferable.

Please shut the frick up about Reggie Bush already.

Everyone knows he'll either take a pay cut or he'll leave, there's really nothing left to talk about.

Not necesarily for drafting him but for keeping him around and paying him for the last 2 years at least.

I hold no ill will towards RB whatsoever.

I would guess that Payton has an ego problem when it comes to Reggie and did all he could to give Reggie every opportunity to succeed in the NFL...since Reggie was Sean P's first ever draft pick as a head coach and all.

It's just part of the business. Just think, it could have been worse...says Al Davis about that LSU kid.

Credit Al with letting him go only after 3 seasons although 99% of the football watching world was sure Jamarcus was a bust by his second season. The last 1% was LSU homers.

Dude, why are you so butthurt and sensitive about Reggie Bush? That's his kid in your avatar, isn't it. I knew it.

Enough is enough, time to cut him loose

I don't hate him or anything, and he's done alot of special things while he's been here, but he's just not worth it.

He can't stay healthy and he'll always have 1 or 2 plays a game that just make you roll your eyes and shake your head. He's a great decoy and he'll usually have 1 or 2 games a year where he makes a huge impact on that game. That's all I got, not worth it.

It's not Reggie's fault that he got less than 9 touches per game that he played this year. Sean P is obviously okay with Reggies amount of touches.

You can't be serious. So you think his lack of touches is a conspiracy or just that he refuses to head up field?

It's all his fault, he can't be counted on and is more valuable as a decoy. Even with the injury he did not get it done. No one is going to pay him so I expect he'll be back. I just hope the Saints don't give him much. We need to pay someone that can play.
