What was up with all the counterfeit ticktets being sold outside the dome. I personally heard of at least 10 different people who got screwed. Is there any way to prevent this?

Don't buy from scalpers buy from people who just look to be dumping their extra ticket.

It's very easy to prevent.

step one: buy a Delorean.

step two: set time to 2005.

step three: travel to 88 mph.

step four: purchase saints tickets.

I turned down about 8 ticket offers on saturday. I eventually got two for 150 apiece about 30 mins before kickoff.

All you do is DEMAND that they walk with you to the gate. Wait with the scalper with all of the money for the tickets and let one person go in. When they get in you know the tickets are legit and pay the man his money. I threw in 20 dollars extra for the guy walking with us.

10 people?

really?

i sold a ticket to a scalper on Sunday. They dont care if they void or not, they buy them regardless.

i would say not to buy tickets on gameday. Get them before or dont go at all.

I know for the last 2 or 3 weeks the radio and tv stations have been saying DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM ANYONE THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW. Its really a shame that people are taking advantage of this good season.

I read somewhere that people were arrested for it, so hopefully that puts off other counterfeiters

Authentic tickets have multiple fleur de lis logos on the back of the ticket. The logos only appear when light strikes the ticket at the right angle.

You do realize that these tickets aren't "counterfeit" right?

They're the actual tickets. They were just rendered invalid by people forwarding them to email through their season ticket account manager.

The NFL brought this problem upon themselves when they allowed Ticketmaster to do this ticket forwarding / ticket exchange stuff.

Again, nobody is printing and selling "counterfeit" tickets.

The tickets that aren't scanning are the exact same tickets that work for other people. They're straight from the Saints.

They are just invalid. What is going to happen going forward (starting next year) is that teams are going to tell their season ticket holders that THEY are responsible for their invalidated ticket stubs. If you forward your tickets or sell them on Ticket Exchange that's great. But rip up your fricking stubs and don't let them get out there on the black market where they are sold to gullible fans.

If multiple people show up at stadiums with your ticket stubs scanning invalid, the stadiums will confiscate the stubs, trace the ticket back to the season ticket holders, and hold them accountable - with the threat of pulling your season ticket rights as the ultimate punishment.

I'm sure this is a problem nation wide, not to mention the college ranks including LSU here in BR.

They were counterfeit in the true sense.

The were counterfeit in that they were knowingly not going to scan properly, but they weren't home-made or something.
