985 I appreciate your thoughtful response. The original did sound like you just categorized Butler as a douche. Rather than locker room cancer, more like, any potential locker room distractions.

well in the context I used. It works. Ever learned mean, median, and mode?

Median = middle.
Thus its what I meant. And its a happy middle.

Oh so you listened to a Pats beat reporter talk about that as a possibility on the Sports Hangover today. Cool.

If so, would that increase the compensation?

A pats beat writer was on the SportsHangover today and said that he could see something like Dion Lewis being included to entice the Saints to give up 32 instead of a later pick.

He was spitballing, not talking about inside info.

reminds me of our superbowl run
all purpose back : Thomas/Ingram
goal line back: Bell/Peterson
recieving specialist: Bush/Lewis

i think the saints realize running the ball is a crucial part of keeping the offense (specifically the pass game) unpredictable and hopefully the guys buy in

You don't see how he might feel that's disrespectful? Not hard to see how that could be a potential problem in your locker room. Happens all the time where players are unhappy how the organization treats them.

Gotcha.

By your use of pronouns, it wasn't clear that you were talking about the Pats. I thought you were talking about the saints.

quote:

He wants to be traded now so he can make money. It's called security. He could get hurt this year and be fricked in FA next year. That's why he wanted a contract now and I could see why he might feel a Gilmore signing is very disingenuous to him

And that is absolutely a leverage point for the saints in contract negotiations. I'd imagine it is one of the reasons we're interested in him. And if he doesn't play well this year for them, he ends up hurting himself more than the Pats too.

He really has zero leverage with the Pats with the tender and then the franchise tag the following year. They'll take the tiny risk if they don't get what they want

You basically explained why the Pats signing Gilmore isn't a red flag in your post though. You can get another good corner plus move Butler for an asset.
