Exactly what defense are we running this season?

Has to be 3-4, lining up some of these young DB's as hybrid backs. Dennis Allen is one of those new aged defensive minds, right?

This is the NFL, no team plays exactly one defense, except whatever team is coached by lovie smith.

But I imagine we are going to run a lot of different packages and formations to be honest. We don't have enough talent to just sit in a base the whole game like Denver, Carolina or Seattle.

New Age NFL. With the personnel and wide range of sets offenses run now you can't just have one set Defense. Multiple looks with multiple personnel as dictated by the offense in the field!

The "base" will be a 4-3 but in the NFL defenses are in nickel a large majority of the time.

We will be running a historically bad defense which has been the Saints specialty the last couple years.

We're playing the "Give up over45 passing TDs per year" defense. Same as last year. Every QB will look like pro-bowlers again.
If any of the defensive coaches can coach up some of the new players, then we might make 28th best D this year.
