Lance Alworth, Mark Clayton (80's), Steve Largent, Desean Jackson, Antonio Brown, Gary Clark, Wayne Crebet, Wes Welker, Steve Smith (Panthers), Mark Duper, Greg Jennings, Santonio Holmes, Santana Moss, and even Laverneous Coles had success playing on the outside at the Flanker (Z) and Split End (X) positions. Some of these name are in the HoF or will be in the future. Odell Beckham is also below the stereotypical "number 1 wr" stature, it's all b.s.

All that to say, if they have the talent and drive, the job will get done.

Yeah bunch of stupid in here. Don't know where this notion of a number one receiver needing to be 6'2"+ came from but it's the biggest bunch of shite going on the last few years.

A lot of teams have shorter number one receivers and very few have their top two receivers that tall.

Plus Colston "only" got 900+ yards last year. I mean that is SOOOOOO much less than 1,000.

it started around the time of Calvin Johnson.... and it took off from there... off course taller WR's would be nice, but they aren't necessary... particularly when you have an accurate QB.... look at GB... they don't have "prototypical" WR's... but they get the fricking job done...

my problem with Cooks is that he's not as fast as advertised on the field, and he's indecisive with the ball in his hands... and as far as his hands go, i hope he worked with the jugs machine all offseason...

Did you not watch the atlanta game and green bay game? He plays fast. We had to use him and settle for dump offs due to the line that only holds up for 2 seconds. So guess what, he gets tackled literally right away in those situations so he can't make a move.

And as far as his hands go, he worked with the jugs machine all offseason? 53 receptions on 70 targets, 2 drops.

Yeah, just stop

he was one of the youngest players in the NFL last year. He needed to get acclimated.

think back to your first months as a pharmacist. Fast forward to now. How much more do you know?

of all the worries I had about our roster from last year, Cooks really isn't one of them
