well he's always said he wears number 9 because of that famous baseball player who is his favorite athlete..

edit:
i just checked his high school number and it looks like 15 as well. okay so maybe someone had 15 in sd? and he just rolled with number 9

Dang. I went crazy on google with this. #15 isn't a retired number with the Chargers, and no one else was wearing it in 2001.


And while I was doing that, everyone else said Ted Williams.

Yeah. The link I found didn't show a #15, so he probably didn't.

ETA 5'11" QB from Montana. He didn't make the cut

If Teddy is his favorite, why wasn't he wearing #9 at Purdue? Some FR WR had #9 in 2000.
