If we can't get Dennard or Gilbert Id love to get Marqise Lee. Deep threat and a guy who could take the return game from Sproles.

11. Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State (5-11, 197): Quick feet, loose hips and a fluid turning motion make Dennard a classic cover corner capable of shutting down half the field. Dennard allowed only three completions in 31 targets of 15-plus yards this season. His ability in coverage played a huge role in the Spartans' run to a Rose Bowl victory, and was recognized with Dennard winning the Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back. The only factor keeping Dennard from a selection in the top half of the first round is a question about his straight-line speed.

Would LOVE to see Dennard put up a less than impressive 40 time and fall within striking distance of us. He's gonna be a good one!

The center position worries me. Mike Triplett has said that the team does not intend to overpay for dlP. I'm not sold on Lelito as a replacement at center much less a player in the NFL. He got eaten alive when we played Arizona and was just okay against a bad Atlanta defensive line. If the team is trying to protect Drew Brees going forward, they've got to put legitimate talent on that line. My ideal pick is Weston Richburg in the 2nd round, though I'm a fan of Tyler Larsen later on. Marcus Martin of USC is also rising up boards. Either way, they absolutely cannot hand Lelito a starting job.

The same goes for right tackle if Strief walks. Bryce Harris has shown just as little as Lelito. I don't like the idea of having two formerly undrafted players starting on the line next year, and yes I recognize that dlP was undrafted.

I'm with ya on that we haven't seen enough of Lelito or Bryce Harris. BUT the front office staff may have seen it. How they judge these guys before game reps is prolly one of the greatest disconnects we have.

Remember dlP came in from nowhere and was on his 7th team. Bushrod was inserted into the starting role with less reps on his resume than Lelito or Harris.

I'd love a studly Center in the 2nd or 3rd Rd. There are several that would immediately be an upgrade over Lelito or dlP. Ideally he could then slide over to Guard when we can afford to replace Grubbs or Evans.

I don't respect any list that puts Manziel in the top 5. The dude is a Danny Wuerffel 2.0

Not just you. That he's 6'5'' 235 lbs with supposedly low 4.5 speed, was productive, but is thought of as a late 1st - early 2nd gives me pause.

physical attributes speak that he should be top 15 in this draft, but he just seems average to me.

I might be just blind, I just don't think we should get him as our "do it all receiver" - I don't think he'd be one of those top receivers for a team.

Why do I never see Detiller on the rankings. It's not like he is that far off from what I hear. Also I've been a big fan of Al Fronczak for years, but he really needs to update his website. It looks like it was built with angelfire in 1999
