I wanted the Vikings at full force, but it would make it that much easier for a victory by not having him play.

We'll see if he actually does retire. If he does it won't diminish anything. A win is what's important not beating Farve.

It definitely does, if he doesn't play.

The typical media will diminish it without Favre playing.

John Madden may not be tuning in any longer.

nope... doesn't diminish the win.
I just want them embarrassed afterward. Done, Broken, and heads down... their fans and mouthy players deserve it.

i don't believe any of you.

saying something is "diminished" doesn't mean it still isn't huge....just that one part of the excitement will now not be there. All of you know damn well it would be sweeter to watch Favre get knocked around, and you would talk about it more, than if it is Jackson.

Uh no.

I want them to win. No Favre means a better chance to win. Therefore im happy he wont be there.

They could play Slidell Junior High for all i care. A win is a win

A win is a win in my books. Especially when home field in the playoffs could come down to one game...

just search "favre" on this site....

to say that this doesn't diminish anything is flat out dishonest.

Go in reverse.

Anyone want to say that beating 3 HOF QB's in the playoff's didn't make feeling the Super Bowl any sweeter?

If given the choice of beating 3 HOF QB's to win the Super Bowl, or beating Sage Rosenfels, Matt Leinart, and Curtis Painter, someone wouldn't get a better feeling out of it?

Favre has been THE most talked about opposing player on the Saints entire schedule this offseason on this board. Counltess images of him getting blasted or intercepted have been posted. People have bene talking about beating him again for months.

you are just lying when you say that this changes nothing.

Well, maybe this will ensure that the focus of the game is where it belongs... on the world champions returning home to the dome to start a new season.

And NOT on Brett Favre.

Remember the NFC Championship game? The m-f'ing NEW ORLEANS SAINTS are one game away from going to the Super Bowl, and all the national media wants to talk about is Brett Favre possibly going to the Super Bowl?

The national media couldn't have missed the mark on what was more important in a million years. The national audience STILL doesn't get what's happening right now on Airline Drive, and that's even after a Super Bowl win. Does anyone who knows Drew Brees and Sean Payton really think they are done with what they are building?
