Don't know if this is in other threads but wanted to add it to this one

Raycom (which owns Fox 8) is offering to give everyone who had to buy antennas up to a $30.00 check to help pay for it

I just got off the phone with Directv and they told me the game will NOT be blacked out for the local market. She told me I would be able to watch the game on channel 705.

Unless it's being aired on your local channel, you will get the game on channel 705 on NFL SUNDAY TICKET.

The game is being aired locally so I read this as you will not get it

If you live in the FOX 8 market, you will NOT get the game if you have DirecTV, even if you have Sunday Ticket, regardless of what a DTV rep said. Trust me.

UPDATE: September 5th, 9:17pm

DirecTV has returned to the negotiations. We will keep you up to date.

We know how important NFL football is to you, and we are doing everything we can to make sure you see the games you care about Sunday. We tried to get DirecTV to run the Saints game in New Orleans on WVUE, but they wouldn't agree to do it.

So we are offering free antennas to fans who can't watch the games because of DirecTV. Here's how it works:

If you are a DirecTV subscriber, go buy an antenna in any local store (you may want to call first because there's been a bit of a run on the market because of DirecTV's actions).
Send us a copy of your receipt, and a copy of the first page of your DirecTV bill, to Raycom Media, 201 Monroe Street, Montgomery, AL 36104 (attn: Antenna Rebate by September 30, 2014.
As long as the receipt shows that store where you bought the antenna is in the New Orleans DMA, and is dated September 1-7, we will send you a check for up to $30 (limit one per customer).
We understand that this process is a little old-fashioned, but it's the only way we could think of to get people free antennas in time for the games. Hope this helps. Meanwhile, we are trying hard to get DirecTV to agree to put the stations back up.

I've got an antenna on standby with a converter box. I hope I don't have to use it.
