Drew played like a man that just got PAID!

Is it just me or was his arm speed alittle down?

I chalk this game up to a coaching staff that had no clue what they were doing. All offseason we were fed nonsense that Brees would be some great "player-coach" on the field. It doesn't work like that in the nfl.

No I don't think that. But maybe since the O-line coach is covering down to be HC, that could be hurting the pass protection. Just speculating. Probably not the reason Drew got some pressure on him yesterday. Maybe I am splitting hairs.

No.

The Saints just kept shooting themselves. At one point it seemed like Brees and Graham were going to get the offense back in gear, and then the Colston fumble happened. It seemed like anytime they started gaining steam, some setback occurred. Considering how it all happened, I can live with a loss that came down to the very last seconds of the game. The end of the game showed that Brees is not going to sit idly by and accept a loss even though he made his money. Brees is a winner and does not accept losing as an option. The coaches need to get after the rest of the team and kick their asses into gear.

im more concerned by the lack of discipline the team showed... to me, thats likely a direct result of the coaching suspensions.

I also have to wonder if the O-line struggled because their coach was focused on preparing for the game and managing the game.

Not replacing Payton with someone, and asking these coaches to pull double duty might prove to be a huge mistake.

Sure it did.
The whole team seemed occupied with thinking of all that selfish money he got and not on playing sound football.
