Along with Uche Nwaneri and Paul McQuistan (twin brother of Pat McQuistan).
Who do you guys feel has the best shot at making the team?

Bowers was incredible before he blew out his knees.

I honestly don't think any of these guys are better than what we got. Maybe Bowers, Coffman, and Morgan could provide bench depth, but that's about it.

Morgan is a very good blocker so I could see the interest.

My friend who is a huge Bucs fan told me Bowers main problem was lack of motivation and really just not giving much effort. He said being cut might hopefully be the thing that turns his light on, but dude is just about the money.

Nwaneri.
2nd choice the dude from Hawaii! Its a thing now.

None of these make the team. It would miracle of any of them were offered after the weekend.
Bowers is damaged goods.
Morgan is 30. No thanks.
Coffman's best chance is if Jack Tabb sucks.
The guards are old and washed up.
The two names on the Saints list I would like to keep an eye on are Zach Hocker and Darryl Surgent because Hocker is a kicker and Surgent is from ULL.

Hocker was pretty spot on at Arky. Wouldn't mind him and Graham having a training camp/preseason battle

Andrus Peat is a massive individual. Also, his name autocorrects to A drugs Pear.

Looks like he is playing right tackle in that picture

I honestly thought his arms were photoshopped.

Looks like a lot more baby fat than muscle

Payton said he will start out at RT but will be cross trained(and is cross training in the minicamp). Being that he is a better run blocker this makes sense. He also had good praise for him.
That also feeds into the talk of Strief moving to guard.
Also said Swann is standing out, as is Williams and Breaux. He said all three will compete for the nickel(which he said with 70% of snaps being nickel is really the base), but Williams and Swann are starting out inside while Breaux is on the outside. And that plays to their strengths.

If we are looking at a line of Armstead,Strief, Unger, Evans, and Peat that is a potentially mauling run blocking line.
Of the group only Armstead is a better pass blocker than run blocker, though we've had success running behind him.
And despite Evans massive struggles with injuries and pass blocking the last two years he has been a good,if not great, run blocker.

I have seen more people describe Peat as a finesse OT, so who know.s. I see Strief returning to tackle eligible before guard. He is like 6'8. I can't see that being a good option to put in front of Brees.

Nobody(with actual knowledge) has called him a finese blocker. What has been said is that he has very agile feet, which is very good for pass protection and pulling.
He comes from a run heavy team and is much more developed as a run blocker and plays with a physical style.
Don't confuse having agile feet with having a finese style.
