The story said "private workout" meaning the kid committed to a workout for him only, and then the coach flew out; and he blew him off.

You can't possibly spin that in benjamin's favor; I don't give a shite whats going on behind the scenes with the draft being a month later. If the story was, "denies private workout", "doesn't show to pro day", or something to that effect, your point might be valid.

ETA: and even if it is some crazy unrealistic backdoor intentional sabotage, it still makes him look horrible; like dating a girl that cheated on her last guy with you, it probably wont end well

If we passed on Dennard to take Marquise Lee I'd kill a small child.

I wouldn't be THAT mad.

But,yea, I DEFINITELY prefer Dennard over Lee...Dude locked up one whole side of the field.Teams were afraid to throw his way...Is his 40 time, the reason he's falling or something..Well I guess I should say supposedly falling.

Do you have some insight into every team's front office meetings to guarantee this 100%.

Common sense.

I never implied that was 100% exactly what happened but neither you nor I have any insight to what is currently going on behind the scenes.

Teams aren't even finished evaluating players, they aren't guarantee a guy yet, not even at #1. Definitely not in the 20's.

It doesn't necessarily mean a coach flew out to meet him somewhere for a workout. It could have been set up at team facility. The Saints just had Marqise Lee in for an interview & workout earlier this week.

You can't possibly spin that in benjamin's favor

I'm not trying to spin this in anyone's favor. I'm trying to give an open minded perspective as to what could have POSSIBLY happened. One thing I have learned after following sports for a long time, is that we fans really don't have a clue what really goes on behind the scenes before & during drafts in all sports.

It may sound crazy but if anyone has watched any documentary on what goes on prior to & during the draft, would understand this is totally possible.

Do you realize the NFL Combine was over a month ago? Do you realize that if the draft wasn't pushed back that it would only be a few days away? I would hope that most teams have a general idea in which direction they are heading because if not, they are in trouble.

The only reason Pro Days are still going on is due to the draft being pushed back otherwise they would have been squeezed closer together. Teams have been taking this extra time to do even more personal predraft workouts then before.

If the draft was at it's normal date then yeah, I could understand brushing off what I said but changes from the norm tend to lead to things you normally don't see.

I knew I remembered hearing about this recently about a past draft but couldn't remember who the player was. Thanks

I want a WR in the first round. I would prefer beckham or lee.

They don't stop evaluating after the combine and pro days.

Over two weeks. You think they are going to use the extra time for MORE research or they're going to arbitrarily stop on April 25th because that's when last years draft started?

More evaluation not quicker decisions.

Which is meaningless. You make it seem like it's completely far fetched that a team is looking at taking him before the area is mocked to be selected or that a team isn't possibly thinking about trading up to take him before most analyst see him going. If that's the case, how really far fetched is it to believe he blew off a workout because of a promise from an organization.

He probably didn't get a promise from an organization but who had Tim Tebow going in the 1st round? Could have the Broncos possibly spoken to him about taking him in the 1st round prior to the draft? You bet.

None of this is far fetched

Maybe. Just not a month before the draft.

Where did I imply that they couldn't & shouldn't doing their evaluations on potential draft picks? Don't assume. When you assume, you tend look like the first the 3 letters in the word.

So whose front office do you work for since you are privy to exactly every step front offices are taking right now? You are fooling yourself if you don't think most organizations have narrowed down their potential draftees already. I say some because there are clusterfrick type organizations who probably don't have a clue yet.

Everytime you say he received a promise from an organization.

It's common sense. When given more time to make a decision highly likely you're are going to use that time.

Narrowed down and promised aren't close to the same thing. Based on your theory he maybe got a promised. His agent definitely isn't telling him to not work out if he got put on a narrow list by a team, unless his agent is a giant retard.

What is so hard for you to understand that all it takes is for one team to have possibly narrowed it's 1st round target in this year's draft this soon? You make it seem like it's entirely impossible when it's not.

So a team puts him on narrow list of prospects so he stops working out for other teams? So he's not lazy he's a moron and his agent should be fired.

Holy shite! You either have a serious case of ADD or your comprehension skills really suck. Maybe it's a combination of both.
