Does this get us to 74? If so hopefully we can bring in Schwartz to shore up the line. I feel bad for Swann he has shown flashes of being a quality NFL player.

At this point I think we need to be actively scanning the market for CB's. We at least need a top notch short list.

I felt with Breaux, a healthy Lewis, and Williams we could be very well off.

That obviously did not happen and we just lost one of the few corners left on the roster with real NFL experience.

Thank god our front 7 is a lot better. They can hopefully make life back there a little easier.

We have to stop thinking of corners and safeties being completely different positions in some cases with this team. I think we will have a lot of Breaux, Williams, Byrd, Bell and Vicarro out there at the same time. With Bell's ball skills I can see his playing more nickel than another corner.

It is not that...the starters are Williams and Breaux.

Do we even have a capable player to spell them or god forbid take over for them if they were to go down?(knocking on legit wood)

Sean said when they drafted Bell the plan was for Bell to go down into a NB style role similar to KV and Malcom's Rookie seasons.

Great.

Williams has never even played a down in an NFL game.

Yeah not so much depth at corner in general or someone to play nickel (we have like 20 guys to do that), but if we need someone on the outside can one of the rooks step up?

And I do think this makes Finnegan a lock, especially since he's played a ton of ST snaps.

What is his injury? Is it another concussion?

I think the rookies are going to be good. Crawley and Harris. Everyone is dismissing them because of the Steelers game. Harris was in perfect position on Brown's TD just didn't get his head around.

That can be learned. Totally different than being 5 yards behind the play like Browner's slow arse.

Also, Breaux had some rough moments early on. Remember the infamous gif?

Harris and Crawley are going to be steals. At least one of them.

Longterm they could all work out but this season they're all learning on the job and if 3 out of 5 are doing that we're going to be taking our lumps.

I don't think he will ever play another regular season down for the Saints.

Time to do like Belicheck & trade him for a 5th,6th or 7th round pick
