I wonder why you don't see big backs like that anymore. You know guys like Heyward, Bettis, Natrone Means, etc.?

Guess tubby Mike Tolbert could be an exception?

The dude was Bettis 1.0. Amazing to watch someone that big run that well.

This guy was Bettis 2.0. Crazy to see a guy run at that size.

Does this creep anyone else out? Clown is straight plagiarizing posts.

The Ironhead/Mora saga introduced me to the ugly world of eating disorders/fat shaming.

Here's a feature on Ironhead from a 1991 Inside the NFL episode. You also get a glimpse of his son Cameron, now with the Steelers. In case I didn't cue it right, the feature starts at 20:11. LINK

If Iron Head had control of his alcoholism and weight, he would have rivaled Deuce as the all time Saints half back.

He was sexually assaulting wowen at some event, if I recall.

Nothing serious, something like pinching womens' asses, or some sort of rude sexual advances.

I thought he threatened to throw a barricade at the police when they got involved, and thats why he was arrested.

He was not a great player, and another typical Saints BUST first-round pick- the most yards he ever rushed for in a single-season was 599 and very rarely caught a pass in the 5 years here.

I love to LOL at people who call someone they never saw play a "legend" or "great player". You kids crack me up sometimes.

Your version seems to be correct with the assault at the event at Lakeside. I don't remember the details.

He had potential but I don't think he was utilized properly. He was always lined up in the Fullback position and seemed that he could get better momentum if lined up in the tailback spot.

I was a big fan of Heyward and wanted him to do well every game, but they either did not use him or would give him the ball on formations that are only expected to generate 2 - 3 yards. 1990 was his best season, as they seemed to have him in the game plan every week, likely because Hilliard was hurt that year, and he had his breakout game against the Bengals and his career game against the Bucs. I think Fenerty shined at the end of the year. Then 1991 came and he was written off.

I got to meet and spend some time around him when I was younger. I grew up around the corner (Kennabrah) from Vince Buck (former Saints DB) and he and many of the Saints players would play basketball in his driveway every offseason. During the summer, my friends and I would ride our bikes over and watch them play. Probably learned a few curse words from that court. Iron Head was our favorite so we would root for him, so he was always nice to us and signed any autographs we wanted. It was really sad to hear he passed away so young.
