Carr might be the better than the opposing QB in all 17 games next year.

Six games against the NFC South

Four games against the AFC South (possibly Lawrence is better)

Four games against the NFC North (maybe Cousins. Rodgers I expect to be gone)

Rams - Stafford looks done

Giants - Carr is equal or better than D.
Jones

Patriots - Carr is better than M. Jones

Most likely f those games the Saints will have the better defense and skill players.

Just need a RB and healthy Thomas to win 12+ games

The delusion on this board is reaching insane levels.

32/32 teams would take Lawrence over Carr dude.

So “possibly” Lawrence, “maybe Cousins.”

The delusions are incredible.

That's because he's a couple years into his career with over a decade to go, and Carr has been a decade and has maybe 3-5 years left.
It doesn't mean Lawrence is better right now, it just means you will have him a lot longer.

32/32 teams would take Lawrence over Carr because he is a better qb right now and will be for his career. He has more playoff wins in one year with a real coach as Carr does for his career.

Damn, we should have picked Lawrence up instead

Look, we got the best guy we could. Coupled with our defense, and looking at the rest of the division, we should be a playoff team. I'm not going to pout about that. I spent far too long watching awful QB play before Brees came, I have no desire to return to that. The last 2 seasons have been enough for me.

Yeah, Carr is so good the Raiders let him walk for nothing.

the OP said the Saints could have the better QB in all their games next year and said “possibily Lawrence was better. Pay attention to the discussion before responding with a strawman

Everyone can read the subtext to the people shitting on OP. Instead of just debating which QBs are better, people are grabbing their pitchforks over the fact that one of the 16 games we’ll play a clearly better QB. Like his point is still decent.

Carr had a down year and went 6-11 with a 1st all pro RB and WR.

Except it’s not, it’s blatant sunshine pumping homerism. At best it’s mostly unknown since half the games the QBs are unknown at this point. Houston Indy and Carolina could all have rookie QBs, depending on when you play them, that QB could be much better and he’s banking on Stafford being washed up and Rodgers not playing.

Cousins is demonstrably better, the stats bear that out. Goff and Tannehill (since he’s been in Tennessee at least) have similar numbers as Carr, both have seasons (Goff 18 and Tannehill 20) that are better than Carrs best which was 2016. So no the Saints don’t have the best QB in all 17 games or 16 of them

ETA And then there’s Fields, most will say he’s sucks he can’t pass blah blah and they said the same about Hurts a year ago. He’s as big a unknown as there is, could be great could be benched who knows
