How much will a brees extension take off? Around 10-15 mil?

His legs look like they're falling off now. He has been really bad this year so far. He and Colston are absolutely done.

He can save up to around $18m. That's if we pretty much convert his whole base.

If he's cut he saves $20m.

I think that decision will depend on how he looks the rest of the year because he looked pretty bad the first two games. I didn't think it was possible but McCown far and away outplayed him against what is supposed to be a great D (though minus Kuechly).

off topic but have any of ya ever thought this...

With the high amount of failures of the big money second contracts do a moneyball thing and only extend uber very special players and your QB. Otherwise, trade them for draft picks in the last year of their rookie deals. Dayum, makes me think of the Patriots as I type.
