Cap hit for Browner and Byrd in 2016

Just looked at their contracts. And unless i'm reading it wrong, these two guys have a cap hit of around $18 million combined next year.
I don't know how the Saints are going to overcome this.

Byrd just sucks and is way overpaid but he's not close to the negative Browner is.

Byrd hasn't earned his contract, but I wouldn't say he sucks.
Browner absolutely sucks....He is HURTING this team each and every game and he needs to be cut. I don't want to hear shite about his contract or guaranteed money being the reason he is not cut, if we don't save a dime by cutting him it would still be worth it! I would go with Brian Dixon or whomever we have on the practice squad!

I tend to think that the reason we won't bench him is because he is a team captain. I believe he was signed just as much for his lockerroom leadership ability. I am not saying it is right, but Payton could be hesitant to bench his enforcer and leader of his defense.

Seems to me the Saints never bench bad players who they're paying big bucks to. Seems they feel compelled to try to get their money's worth out of them.

His tackling is impressive out of the secondary. He hasn't played well or really forced turnovers, but I agree that he hasn't played poorly either

Byrd is showing signs of being effective. He may get over the mental hangups that are keeping him from selling out on plays in fear of injury. Browner needs to be cut. He brings absolutely nothing positive to the field. Brees needs to restructure and Loomis needs to be fired. With the exception of Peat, Ireland had a good draft. Kikaha was sorely missed yesterday.
