Was always a good special teams and decent plug and play guy. Worth a look since Ellerbe is hurt.

Good signing. I thought it was a mistake when they let him go.

St Louis paid him starter money we couldn't match.

We signed Lofton and paid him starter money. You might be splitting hairs comparing the two, but I thought Dunbar with St. Louis performed better than Lofton did with us. Similar situation with letting Nicks go and signing Grubbs for a fraction less than what Nicks got paid.

As many debatable stupid things the FO has done since 2009 in regards to contracts, that was one of my biggest pet peeves. Not addressing an obvious problem at linebacker in the draft and overpaying for poor production. Also the experiment with Will Smith at OLB. Who in their right mind would have viewed that as a passable solution?

Just saying the front office has put forward some head-scratchers in regards to the linebacker corps. I can't help zeroing in on LB's mistakes when I am watching the defense, needless to say there has been an abundance of those in New Orleans since the Vilma/Fujita combo.

They have the talent to be pretty good, still have a ways to go though.
