Drew has made enough money with the Saints. I know he won’t do it, but he should play for 2 or 3 mil per year from here on out. It would free up a lot of space so we could get the players we need to win another Super Bowl.

at the age of 60, would you take only 10% of your salary to do your job?

Like I said...

Drew signs for under 25 mil. I expect Saints to be involved heavily in free agency.

He should sign for $1 million per game next 2 seasons. $16 million base contract with $1 million bonus for each additional playoff game.

Isn’t his cap hit for the year $18 million no matter what kind of deal he signs? Might as well sign for $18 million.

his cap hit is accelerated to 18m if he doesn't sign by 3/14.

as of now its:
2018 6m
2019 6m
2020 6m

He needs to ask himself about his legacy.

He will make more in endorsements by signing a 3 yr. 30 mil. deal and winning another Super Bowl or two than signing a 3 yr 66 mil deal and taking up another 12 mil per year of the cap.

Saints could get Jimmy Graham and Jarvis Landry if Brees signs for the 3 yr 30 mil.

Yes, he’s not Brees, but the drop off is not that dramatic and he’s younger and could be a long term solution.

People like you are going to miss drew when he’s gone....

He is so underrated by his own fans

Most people’s physical ability to do their job well isn’t tied to their age.

I mean tbh he deserves the absolute barn and if he have to pay him a large sum, so be it, but i prefer him to take a pay cut. But honestly whatever Brees wants, give it to that man.

I wonder if the league would allow us to do a cap hit deal structured like this:

2018 6m
2019 6m
2020 6m
2021 42m
