Who comes to mind first for ya?

For me, Tyrunn Walker and Glenn Foster.

It's nothin at all about stats. It's that most every time they were in, they made plays- noticeably. The problem with both was health. So what we saw might not have been at 100% all the time.

Foster was on the injury report 8 weeks and did not play in 4.
Walker was on the injury report the first 11 weeks and did not play in 7

With good health, more experience, and increased reps I think their roles increase exponentially. Foster particularly might have some legitimate Colston-PT23 type UDFA potential. Both also could be a factor in making Bunkley a June cut very easy.

Bubbling under the surface from most national pundits to see is a group very good and improving D linemen. A couple more tweeks defensively and I can envision real dominance. We were good statistically last year but had some frequent flaws. Cool to think of what we saw last year step up yet another level.

I know he sort of already "broke out" to us fans in the know, but to most of the country he is an unknown.. Hicks. It's a known deal that Jordan is the star on our DLine but I think this year Hicks will show he is close to equal caliber...

I look for him to make his name known this yr and NO ONE will forget about our DL next offseason like they did this one.

also I just want to be able to have another thing Prisco can shove up his arse

Yeah I'm with you Foster shows up when he's on the field he a guy to keep on your team for along time. Hell next year Jordan will demand big time money if he has another 10 sack year

I am thinking John Jenkins. One year into the system with last year showing he could hold the point of attack.

Followed up by Hicks. Really excited to see him in his third year. This is about the time when everything clicks for great players.

Hicks

Agree.

He was kind of a raw prospect when drafted. I think he's gotten better and better when given the opportunity.

he didn't play all that much early on in 2012 but I think he started to get more chances during the Chiefs game from that year. I remember Aaron Kromer singling him out despite the loss in that game for his play.

My excitement about this defense is only growing. Think on it...

2013 a defense that ranked 4th in yards and points allowed

Walker & Foster come back full healthy

The most anticipated free agent signing from last year, Butler, will be in the mix

We added a Top 3 safety and playmaker for the backend

That's before ANY draft picks are added. Yowza!

Glenn Foster might have the Junior Galette effect in the long run. Might be the man before you know it

We have the potential to have one of the best D's in the league.

Idk if we reach that potential this season or not though. This is gonna be a big year for a lot of our studs on defense. Jordan, Junior

Honestly, I'm interested in seeing Rod Sweeting. He stuck on the roster as an UDFA last season, and eventually got some playing time towards the end after injuries began to pile up.

He's got good size at 5'11, 190 (that's what he was listed as coming out of college), and he excels in press coverage. He fell out of the draft after concerns with his long speed, but he could be in the mix as the number 3-4 corner.

Not necessarily a breakout potential player, but it always helps to have solid depth.

Wade was the one actually getting those snaps at the end of the year:

35 to 15 in Wade's favor. Sweeting got most of his snaps earlier in the year.

Well dang haha. If not Sweeting, then I say Rufus.
