He got more playing time the last month and showed some nice flashes

He still has dropsies but there seems to be something there as evidenced by the 15.1 YPC

I think he'll be a fine 4th/5th WR

I'm excited to see him after another full offseason. He's better than a 4th/5th receiver

We're so thin at WR he's almost a lock to make it.

Exactly. frick, I had JUST posted how much I liked him in a thread not three seconds before that drop.

I still like the kid though and think he's going to develop into a force.

Would have been such a big cherry on top had he not had that huge drop which could have easily cost us the game. Would have been over 100 yards.

I think he's certainly a solid piece and if he could just learn how to use his size to go up and get the touch catches (and the easy ones , he'd really be a player.

This. And I'll feel better if he's the 5th guy, not the 4th.

We need to bring in two WRs this off-season, one to be a #1 guy and the other to be a #4 guy. I like Cooks as a #2 and Snead as a #3.

Very up and down "rookie" season.
Honestly don't expect him to be anything more yardage/TD wise than what Meachem did (700/9).

Weak hands for such a big guy and has head-pounding drops, not a blazer and has difficulty getting separation.

Could be a solid #3 guy, but I don't expect him to ever be a 1000 yard receiver.

it would be interesting to see how he developed if the Saints brought back Curtis Johnson as the WR coach.

but I mean he has the tools to be a good WR so we'll see.

Cooks is the #1. I don't see that changing.

1200 yards and 9 TDs in his first full season. Don't act like he didn't ball.

Yeah someone always starts a thread about how we need a fast receiver who can take the top off the defense right before Cooks catches a 70 yard TD with ten steps on his man.

I've started to rethink my views on this and think we just need another reliable guy preferably big(I don't trust that it's Coleman) and the #1, #2, #3 "positions" is kinda overrated in this offense.

Agree. A physical, more affordable, role player WR could be valuable.

...think we already spent a first on Cooks and can't afford to burn a first on the Tread luxury with the D needs we have.

Boldin intrigues me...what do y'all think? I know he's old. Done?

I was very optimistic about him in the preseason and I may have been a little too much. Not saying he's done terribly I don't think he'll ever be anything more than a 3/4 but his size does bring another element that we need with this current receiving corps.

I think he has great potential. Still only a 3rd year guy coming off an injury his senior year of college.

If he works on his focus he could be an absolute stud

He made great steps this year but he can't be our only big receiver. I like him a lot though

Yes that drop sucked btw and I too thought
