Saints WR Brandin Cooks is the object of trade talks with the Titans and Eagles identified as two interested suitors, per league sources.

Titans appear to be most likely suitor over Eagles, per one source, but nothing can be official until March 9, if it happens. @ESPNNFL

We might as well.. dude still has great value and is in his prime. We can get something for him now!

It depends on the return, but I'd be pretty disappointed with trading Cooks. Him, Thomas, and Snead make a great trio, as they all provide different skill sets. I guess the idea would be to get a return on a disgruntled player before having to decide whether to invest big money in him, or letting him walk for nothing.

Cooks and pick 11 for pick 5. Draft Johnathan Allen or Jamal Adams

Sign Jeffrey in free agency.

really not. ideally we'd keep him and call it a career guy but we aren't going to pay both cooks and thomas long term. cooks is most tradable and desired commodity on our team.

Which of course means he's tremendously valuable to us as well. But we do need a lot more than receivers right now, so if we can get a good defensive player at a position of need or an O-lineman in exchange for him, it's a reasonable move to attempt.

"Object" of trade talks makes me think other teams are talking and the Saints are just listening rather than the Saints are shopping him.

I get that the value of moving up in the early 1st is high, but I would hope we would get more back than that for a 23 year old, 1,100 yard WR.

Giving up a young, proven receiver to move up 5 spots is fricking retarded unless you are taking Peyton Manning with the pick.

Not when in a year he is going to cost 15 mil. per year.

You doubt Brees? This is an easy decision depending on what we get for him. The offense will not fall off because of one 5'10 WR.
