He's 45, he came back from retirement and presumably had a commitment to the trip with his family, and he's the fricking GOAT

So he can do w/e he wants. I don't see this negatively affecting them in a way we can take advantage of. We still are gonna have to be really fricking good to win the division.

Oh no.
He could quit and superstar Ryan griffin and Tampa superbowl bound.
Seriously without TB12 that team wins 6 games max

Maybe not but anyone who thinks their offensive line issues won't cost them this season, are kidding themselves. Lose Alex Cappa in free agency. Ali Marpet retires at the age of 28 & then all of this?

quote:

The Bucs already have lost starting center Ryan Jensen to a significant and possibly season-ending knee injury. Right tackle Tristan Wirfs is out with a strained oblique. Now there is a revolving door at left guard.

Heading into the Bucs’ final preseason game, we have learned this: The offensive line is not just a need area. Right now it’s a disaster area.

In Saturday night’s 13-3 loss to the Titans, rookie Luke Goedeke got his first NFL start at the left guard position vacated by retired Ali Marpet. The second-round draft pick from Central Michigan gave up a holding penalty. Then another holding penalty. Then, for good measure, a sack.

quote:

To make matters worse, guard Aaron Stinnie suffered a major left knee injury (ACL tear) late in the third quarter when running back Ke’shawn Vaughn was thrown into him by the Titans’ Adrian Colbert after a 1-yard gain. Stinnie, who has started three playoff games for the Bucs, including Super Bowl 55, was carted off the field.

quote:

Quarterback Kyle Trask didn’t have time to step into his throws. After a promising preseason debut the previous week against Miami, Trask struggled to complete 11 of 24 passes for 105 yards with an interception. He was sacked four times.

“You can’t say he took a step back,” Bowles said. “Sometimes it was the pressure. Sometimes they had the route covered. (Trask) was sitting in there. You’ve got to look at the tape to say whether he played efficient.

If he has a down year it will definitely be talked about.

He could do that but it shows how little he is invested in the upcoming year.

I can remember year after year, Eric Martin “holding out” for the entirety of camp. Then, magically, three days before the opener, he and the Saints would “come to terms” and he’d spend the season balling out like he’d been there all along.

My point here: nothing new under the sun.

Anybody on the team worried about where Tom is probably won’t make the roster.

Poor comparison to Tom Brady. If Mike Evans was doing this then it wouldn't be any issue. Tom Brady retired, whined and moaned about his retirement in regards to media coverage, tried to leverage one or two seperate NFL teams, came out of retirement, demanded Aryans be fired, now dipping out during training camp when he was supposed to be the stable center piece and leader for the team.

He knows how to play football. I am sure that missing a few practices is not going to affect his game at all. In fact, he could probably show up for the first game and destroy shite.

If Tom doesn’t have time in the pocket Tampa will suck. If anyone thinks him losing 4 of his top 5 linemen that we ran thru last year won’t be worst isn’t reading. Tom should stay on Vacation.
He is going to be crying rivers with those guys protecting him. It’s made for TV viewing when his arse is laying on the ground repeatedly against the Saints. I myself cannot wait till he hangs up his cleats.

Hope this goes over real well in their locker room.

If my options are Tom Brady skipping pre-season, or rolling into the season with Blaine Gabbert as my starting QB, I'm letting TB take his vacation yearly and welcoming him back for week 1 with open arms

Id buy that logic at say, 3-4 rings, but after that, no. He's the goat, despite your personal feelings otherwise.
