Just wanted to stop by and say frick Mr. Goodell. He is an egomaniac piece of shite. He's so mad that he got lied to and that Payton pissed him off during the Superbowl week in '09.

I don't actually want the man to die, but I find it retarded when someone tries to come onto a msg board and equate the actions of some public sports figures to someones post on tigerdroppings.

Trying to attack someone's morals or class over a msg board is directly comparable to licking glass imo.

Well, the board is full of emotion and plain dumbassery (yes, it's a word . . . I'm sure of it).

I understand the anger but it's directed at the wrong people by a lot of you. Payton, Williams and the spineless Loomis are the primary culprits.

The arrogance at David Drive was fricking unbelievable. I've been a Saints fan all of my life, but guys you have to take off your fricking blinders.

This, my anger for being punished is at the organization. My anger for being butt-raped is at the nfl.

I also am producing more anger at the nfl because the precedent set for such actions and what was actually done do not equate in anyway.

or straight up cheating ala video taping opposing teams walk-throughs before the championship game, multiple times.

sorry, I had to go there.

And this is WAY worse.

Hiring hitmen to injure people is worse than cheating in a game.

No rules were broken during the game.

Paying a linebacker money to tackle people is basically hiring a hitman. I guess the steelers should get thier coach suspended for a year since Harrison obviously doesn't lay down pillows for guys when he takes their heads off.

The difference between our opinions is that I strongly believe that nothing that happened would have not happened had their not been money under the table. Obviously you feel the opposite. The DE's would have pulled up on chances to lay hits on qb's had there not been 1-10k waiting for them. I don't think so. Every DE in the league would have laid an oblivious kurt warner, trying to get into a play after an interception, out. Totally legal block btw. Every DE in the league would have laid Brett Favre out had they got to him. Favre did his "fake the bubble screen" and then hand off the ball. He held onto the ball long enough for the DE to get there and paid the consequences. That's football.

I think there's a reason why you don't hear either of those guys coming out and whining about that.

Besides if a team sees a Strong guy on D knocking the shite out of people, that is what they want. They want that type of player, so his value goes up. people say "pay him his money" when his contract comes up...i mean, whatever.

This is the type of emotional thinking that is wrong with our society today. How were they hitmen? They are paid big money in their contracts to hit players and hit them hard. That is the game of football.

every defensive player in football that signs a contract is essentially a hitman.

team penalties were about where I expected. suspending the HC is a tad extreme.

paying players a bonus to knock people out of a game is not a competitive advantage - its what they are paid to do in the 1st place - to me if you have to offer bonuses to do it, then you arent motivating your players in the right way.

noone wants to see players hurt, but defensive players are paid to stop opposing offenses - and if a player on that side is knocked out of the game - so be it.

if we knock Matt Ryan out of a game against Atlanta with or without a bounty, the results are the same - he is still out of the game and the same benfit for us is there.

Nope. Not at all. Injuries are incidental and not intended in this case.

I agree with that actually.
