I was watching NFL Network and the reporter said that he spoke to Benson and Benson said if his staff came to him and thought Vick would help the team he "would not fight it"

Why not as a Backup and occasional trick play Bumnell and Joey would tank our season If anything happen to Bressus

If Brees goes down, I don't think a single honest fan would want Brunell or Harrington instead of Vick as QB.

while that might be mostly true, im curious as to what the market offers michael vick.. i mean, he's definitely 7 figures but does anyone have a clue as to what type of contract he'll get?

I'll bet there will be a no torturing and killing dogs clause in it

He should be willing to take the minimum contract for one year and donate it to the Humane Society.

He can negociate a new contract after one year.

The Saints need to make an offer and bring him in to camp.

Doesn't he owe people money? I always see them talking on tv about paying his creditors or something. Even if he didn't owe money I wouldn't expect him to give his check to the humane society. I love animals and what he did was wrong, but he did his time. And this is from a Mike Vick hater

I'd rather Brunell than Vick if Brees went down. I'd prefer the QB who is the better passer to get the ball into our WR's hands. Vick in his prime is not the passer Brunell is in his older days

Something tells me a couple of hard sacks would knock Brunell out the game if he ends up behind center. I personally, would feel more comfortable with Vick as a backup compared to anyone else on the roster

Vick would be pretty dangerous running the Wildcat formation. With Miami's success with this last year, I can see someone taking a chance on Vick to do just this.

Then I'm very glad Rita is running the team.

Vick was never that good of a quarterback. He was a phenominal athelete, but I was never worried about him passing to beat us. Besides, I can't remember the last time he played football. What type of shape is he in? Would he be able to keep up with the speed of the game?
