Cooks is great number two receiver. Get what you can if he's unhappy. The 32nd pick and a third helps a lot. Those aren't scrub picks. And this saints front office has gotten better each year at drafting (Ireland era). And Butler is overrated to me. I'd rather get a cheap young corner in the draft.

We need defense and this is a great year for defense. I'm excited to see what we do with these picks.

But why did we have to give up the 4th round pick?

It's not an A+ trade for a reason.

Cooks is not just a great #2 receiver....He's a #1 on half the teams in the NFL

We allowed the player to force his way out. We let an $800,000 payment dictate our fate.

Yeah and half the NFL teams don't have what we have at receiver. He wasn't happy with where he was and a luxury we can't afford.

Have we all forgotten that drew makes receivers look good?

If the Saints learned anything in the two seasons before last year it was that bad chemistry can just kill your team. If he was a primadonna, disgruntled, or just didn't get along with Brees & Co., the money doesn't matter.

I love how Cooks is now a #2 now that he got traded. Saints fans are just as dumb as LSU fans when it comes to player evaluation!

It all depends on who they pick at 32. I'd they can nab another MT caliber player it's an A+. But their recent history with pick 32 (Anthony and PRob) says it's an F.

Cooks can't make his man miss he just outruns him if they get caught sleeping and he can't go up and consistently get the ball.

Honestly this is more of a complement to Thomas he's going to be great for us.

There is no #1 receiver in the league that would get zero touches in a game and the team couldn't care less. It's obvious that Thomas and Sneed are the go to WRs. Cooks was more of the homerun threat.

Cooks in open field is one of best. He matches up with tall and physical corner. He will lose. He will be a FA next off season. Maybe, he will walk away next year. Better get something for him now.

Is it Cooks, or is it Thomas/Sneed?!? None of them looked very mature with the social media nonsense. So, you traded the alleged malcontent to a perennial SB team. Wow, that shows the players what happens when you go against the grain.

Every teams #1 WR:
Eric Decker
Julian Edelman or Brandin Cooks
Jarvis Landry
Sammy Watkins
TY Hilton
DeAndre Hopkins
Rishard Matthews
Allen Robinson
Kenny Britt
Antonio Brown
AJ Green
Mike Wallace
Keenan Allen
Amari Cooper
Jeremy Maclin
Demaryius Thomas or Emmanuel Sanders
Odell Beckham Jr.
Dez Bryant
Alshon Jeffery or Jordan Matthews
Terrelle Pryor
Stefon Diggs
Jordy Nelson
Eddie Royal or Kevin White
Golden Tate
Mike Evans or DeSean Jackson
Kelvin Benjamin
Julio Jones
Michael Thomas
Doug Baldwin
Larry Fitzgerald
Quinton Patton
Robert Woods or Tavon Austin

Cooks is definitely a number one of some of these teams. I don't know about half, but there was certainly a market for a solid WR.
