Anyone see Graham whiff on that goal line block against SD?

It was a quick live look on NFL. Lol they had him out for a few runs, put him in on the goal line and let's his guy run right over him allowing a huge TFL.

With how bad their o-line has looked, I'm loving that trade more and more every single day. With Unger beasting and Anthony looking like our stud MLB for years, we just about trade raped them Seahawks.

He got beat on a block and three Chargers made a gang tackle in the backfield. Let's not get too crazy. Although having Unger so far looks like a great addition.

Yeah they fricked up bad letting three starters go on the Oline. Add in the fact that Graham sucks as a blocker and they messed up what was great about their offense.

And that's not to say I won't miss Graham or that he isn't great at what he is great at, but he fit our offense a hell of a lot better.

They better learn they need to split him out instead of using him as an inline blocker. And why they hell are they running at the goal line instead of putting it up for Graham?

I'm more interested in the fact that Sea has taken a big step back then the fact that Graham sucks as a blocker (which we all knew).

they haven't looked good against the Chargers tonight. Lynch hardly played though.

only time Seattle moved the ball was when wilson scrambled for a decent gain.

happened a few times before the half.

meh.

Wilson is going to have to do a lot of scrambling all year.

All of them?

But really these types of threads will always be around, whether it's Bush, Sproles, Graham, or some other player in the future.

Walter Football getting in on the hate:

quote:

Making matters worse, Wilson doesn't seem like he has a good rapport with Jimmy Graham, but I'll get to that later. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if the Seattle front office is beginning to regret the Graham-Max Unger trade. The offense would look so much better with Unger on the field right now to shore up the horrific blocking.

....

Jimmy Graham does not look happy. He caught just two passes for 24 yards in two-and-a-half quarters of action at San Diego. It was a frustrating evening for him though, as he watched Russell Wilson sail a ball over his head at the end of the first quarter. Later on, Wilson threw behind Graham in the red zone. The pass fell incomplete, and Graham glared back at Wilson and looked extremely frustrated to be in such a stagnant passing attack. The menacing gaze was troubling, as the Saints were more than happy to jettison Graham because of his alleged, horrible attitude creating issues in the locker room. LINK

Let's not bash the guy. He never wanted to leave and he will be missed here.

I'd be annoyed about this being a weekly thing, but I'm somewhat amused it's a weekly thing.

Well, the last time that Seattle tried throwing by the goal line...

Yeah. We certainly went to the middle of the field with him in that situation a lot.

I think he's gonna have the same relationship with Russell like he had with Drew

quote:

"Drew taught me a lot. He was definitely like an older brother who really saw a lot in me early and dedicated a lot of time to making sure that I was everything I ever wanted to be, and everything that he envisioned. He was so critical in my growth," said Graham.

"Now I come out here, and me and Russ – it's almost like the brother who's your long-lost twin, I guess.

"I think there's no ceiling to how good this connection could be on the field and also off the field. We get along so well. He's just been awesome."

Unger/Anthony is still looking better than Graham/Lockette. They needed to keep the Oline together a lot more than they needed targets. And we needed Oline help and an actual LB more than we needed targets.

Win/win for us and lose/lose for them.
