Anyone else think this "fire sale" is just a message to the players?

I feel like coach is just letting everyone know they aren't invincible. This could be the attitude adjustment that some of the players need.

I suppose you used "fire sale" to spark hundred of responses.

Obviously if this fire sale thing has legs it is clearly a message.
Every team every year is willing to entertain offers for every player. Doesn't mean they will go anywhere.

One thing for sure, Junior and Cam won't be tweeting out nicknames for the defense before they've played a down this year.

I FREAKING LOVE IT.
Remember back in 2009 when the team talked about how brutal training camp was?
Remember when you got the feeling that the team knew they were playing for more than just themselves?
Remember when it seemed like everytime the team needed a guy to step up and have a monster game, or make a play, it happened?
Remember when Sean fricking Payton called for an onside kick to start the second half in the Super Bowl and the team went out and executed it to perfection?
At no time in the last couple of years did I believe a Saints team had that kind of attitude, nor did I believe the coaching staff could pull any of that off. So if Payton and Loomis are doubling down and getting rid of the bad apples, slap dicks, and guys that arent there to earn their position, I'm freaking pumped about it.

Tell that to the players already traded

I think the Junior trade rumors where to send a message

Remember the time Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the Mud Dogs won the Bourbon Bowl, do ya?

We only lost for guys four fricks sake. People are acting like they got rid of half the fricking team.
And anyone who claims they liked Grubbs or Lofotn Lofotn their heads checked. So we lost two players people gave a shite about.

I was surprised it was Grubbs before Evans but I doubt Evans is safe.
More signings will mean more money needed and he is the next lamb.
