Anyone else expecting an unexpected player at 13?

Usually the Saints have a history of making "Wtf?" picks that not many see coming. I know Cooks was pretty obvious, but Vaccaro, Robinson, Meachem all shocked to an extent. Perhaps someone like DT Arik Armstead or DT Malcolm Brown? Offensive line like Cameron Erving to play G?

Just figured I'd bring this up as I know there's been a couple times that guys have dropped to us and we've screamed for them, but have gone elsewhere.

I think they are going to move from 13, just not sure which way.

Well, there's really only three non-specialist positions we can safely say they won't take at 13 - running back (no need), safety (ditto) and tight end (no one worthy). And centers are not taken top half of the first round either so Erving ain't happening, even if he projects to be a good guard as well.

They could take a QB (only in the mythical scenario when Mariotta was mocked to fall) and CB (Waynes) even though they have entrenched starters.

I guess Arik Armstead would be the most unexpected yet not implausible pick.

OL/WR would be a surprise based on the needs on defense.

I expected this to be a thread started by Chad. This was unexpected.

I would not be shocked if Collins, Scherff, Cooper, Beasly, etc was available and we then selected Kevin Johnson or some other reach. Very seldom that they draft someone we think they will.

I don't think either OL or WR would be a surprise. There's a hole at LG while Colston is declining.

If cooper or white available saints take them, then Mariota, then a LB/de combo then OL

Cooper might be a must draft at 13. Unless Fowler or Williams are there the certainty of Cooper might be too much considering Ray, Beasley, Gregory and Dupree all have question marks. One of the four will probably be an all pro one very good and two a bust. Which is which I don't know.

Surprise pick would be Parker for me.

i realy think that we go Scheff/Collins

unless cooper falls in to range then we move a few and pull the trigger on him.

Sean Peyton is trying to go back to what won a Super Bowl - Elite Oline Average receivers serviceable defense

But Cooper would be hard to pass up. I think having cooper would slightly take away from the bad that would come from having a hole at guard

I think if Williams/Fowler falls to 5, they jump up to get them. If Beasley or Shelton fall to around 10, they jump up to get him. One way or another, I think they move up from 13 to grab someone.

I also expect them to grab Kendricks at 31.

Saints are moving up to grab Cooper or Fowler

1. Bucks - Winston
2. Eagles- Mariota
3. Jags - Williams
4. Raiders - White
5. Saints - Cooper or Fowler

Saints jumping up to 5 or 7. I see the 3rd round and 5th rounder as bait.

I agree with this.

But that should be the end of it and this:

should not happen unless its one of those two...at least IMO
