Loyalty to unproductive coaches gets HC fired 100% of the time. Two saints coaches that come to mind who were fired due to this loyalty are Jim Mora and Jim Haslett.
I truly expect Carmichael to be let go VERY soon. Loomis has to see he has given Carmichael plenty of opportunities to succeed and sometimes you have to just move on.

I’ve reversed course on this. I say you don’t make any changes w the coaching staff and roll w what you have through the season.
If you keep it as it is, we know what we’ll get and hopefully end the season w optimistic results for next year (3 or 4 wins total)
You start making changes, and you risk a spark in the team causing them to win 7 or 8 games and accidentally ending up in the playoffs (bc this division looks that bad) and picking in the mid to late teens.

Curry called plays during preseason, former player and also served on other staffs (niners).

It simply has to happen. It’s the only way to salvage this season. The division is too crappy and the schedule to weak for us to be terrible enough to draft in the first couple of picks. To come in second in the division, barely miss the playoffs and stay in NFL purgatory is what we’re headed for with Pete at OC. Something has to change.

Kamara basically saying what kind of bullshite playcalling was that.
On one of the plays where Carr threw him a short pass on third and long, he just had his arms out like “wtf” like the confused Travolta Pulp Fiction gif.
Allen won’t do anything til the end of the season because then that will buy himself an extra year when he gets rid of Carmichael after the season. If he changes things now, better chance he also loses his job this year.

As always, the top priority is personal gain and profit margins.
Winning football games is nice if it happens.

If we ended up with one of the first couple picks, that would be a great season for this franchise. Grab one of these potential stud qb’s, fire these coaches, let’s rock and roll. But they will have a pick somewhere in the middle of course.

What kind of head coach stands on the sidelines and watches the worst offense in the NFL for 15 games, but doesn’t make a change?
One way to perceive the definition of insanity.

Lot of focus on play caller and rightfully so, but the entire offensive scheme is also antiquated and to the extent not antiquated was tailored and designed to be operated by one of the best qbs of all time. Not Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston and Derek Carr.
We have an offense designed for the mid 2010’s (pre mcvay/shanahan/McDaniels/lafleur) created by Sean Payton to be operated by Drew Brees and instead of Payton and Brees we have Carmichael and carr.

But that again is on the playcaller, Carmichael to change the offense. Which he hasn’t. I don’t think bringing in Gruden in the offseason was just to help Carr but also Carmichael. The mistake here lies with Allen, he should gave fired him in the offseason.

Oh for sure. I’m just saying I don’t know how much it would help just changing play callers mid season. We needed to hire someone in the off season to come in to install their offense and build it around carr and what he can do.
