I thought we were talking about their ability to run the ball.

ETA: how do you feel about #57?

Just production from the Saints, I think you have to go Dalton. Rogers had a few more yards, but Dalton has him on years and TDs.

Our history of drafted RBs isn't all that impressive though. It's probably Duece, Hillard, Rogers, Thomas (UDFA) and then R. Williams.

You had Stan Brock, certainly for his time one of the best.

This was probably the hardest one for me. Graham or Brenner.

Really??? Brenner was slightly better than John Tice. No doubt a better blocker than Graham but not a tough debate.

You can make a strong argument that the 2nd best TE in Saints history is Henry Childs. The only thing Brenner has on him is years.

Graham has the numbers easily on all other tight ends. But Hoby Brenner has good numbers for the type of ball we played back then. It was all defense and field goals back in the day. I'll admit that I've always liked Breener.

As for Childs, Brenner has better numbers. Granted, Childs has good numbers over a shorter amount of time. But if that's your case, then Shockey is better than Childs.

Childs was a Failcon first, and of course the later-mentioned Shockey was drafted by the Giants.

I know Archie liked Hoby, that validates your point about his good blocking ability.

Um, Waymer sucked until the 49 ers made him a safety.

Who's a better CB that the Saints drafted? Johnnie Poe? Patrick Robinson? Alex Molden? Most of our starting CBs after the early 90s came from other teams.

And I believe the Saints made Waymer a safety one year before he left, and he did pretty well. He was an okay CB too. He wasn't garbage.

You can make the case for Tracy Porter to be on the list, but I don't think he was here long enough, and he was hurt so much while he was here.

I'm gonna have to concede the point. Waymer stats where a lot better than I remembered them. And he did play FS his last year with the Saints.
