so you're saying neither team has a shot?

i do not think GB has given up 40 plus their last two outings like us. of course we both have shots but let's be realistic here. D wins championships. we have alot of work to do.

Compared to how pissed I was after an a five point loss to a 7-9 team in the playoffs last year, this is calm. Aaron Rodgers is the real deal. Granted, we played 8-10 yards off the ball at times but he just made some throws that could not be defended.

that's not allowed here.... anything you say will be taken to the extreme and completely out of context, thus contorting what you say into something completely opposite or totally at the end of the spectrum....

we gave up 35 points on defense tonight, with 7 of that being the result of a fumble giving GB the ball deep

if Cobb doesn't barrel roll it's much different... if people don't think our defense won't play different with a lead...against teams that aren't arguably the best offense in the NFL outside of us...they're crazy

we have to get WAAAAY better on D if we wanna beat this team in the playoffs. That is my big concern right now.....facing these guys again which i have a sneaky feeling WE WILL.

and they have to get waaay better as well.

If we get the ball first and they make ONE boneheaded play like we did with the fumble, THEY are changing their gameplan because they are playing from behind...

are you kidding me...at this point Finley is head and shoulders and then another head better than Gonzo

so in a little less than 2 seasons, Finley has already eclipsed the all-time leading receiver at the position?

considering Gonzalez is ancient and still putting up good numbers, i'll go with a much more proven commodity, especially when Finley hasn't even shown he can stay healthy for an entire season....

Finley has a world of potential, no doubt... but Gonzo has been putting up solid numbers for a long, long time...

gonzo is still a savvy, reliable vet, but you do not have to change the way you play defense against him, he is nowhere near the threat that Finley is at this point

we improve our d and they can get our o's back when a mistake is made like colston's fumble. all the pressure was on the O to keep us in the game from the onset. bottom line is even if GB does not get better you will only win so many shootouts before it bites you in the behind over time without a good D. get a good sound consistent D and we are not even having this conversation of "what ifs" from both sides. let's not even let this happen again. how about that? sound football from the D. no soft stuff.

i hope you are right and our D has none of these problems the rest of the year but we had best learn how to play these guys different next time. i am sure they will learn also. we may have to go through them in the playoffs.

of course not... they are at two totally different points in their respective careers.... but to insinuate that Finley, right now, is better than Gonzo was during as similar point in his career is well, silly, IMO....

obviously, the younger guy with potential would be a bigger threat than the guy who is on his last legs in the league, but Gonzo is a HOF lock, and Finley has yet to even finish an entire season in the NFL....

how stupid are you? nobody is saying that

what i'm saying is that today, september 9, 2011, jermichael finley is a much better TE than tony gonzalez. that's all i've ever said

no, i don't.... i think they have similar builds, and both can beat teams from a variety of ways....

This...

Obviously the D needs some work, but lets not lose sight of who exactly we were playing tonight. I can assure you the rest of the teams on our schedule are not thrilled with the prospect of playing the Saints. Someone's getting a 50 burger dropped on them, and it might be the Bears next week as revenge for the 06 NFCCG

I'm also curious as to who on our schedule has that beastly defense which is better than the Packers. . Give me a break, the pack is easily the best team we play all year and we were within 2 plays of heading to overtime with them.

I'm still very much looking forward to this season.

when did I ever say that Finley is the better player career wise

I was comparing the Falcons of Today to the Packers of today as I thought you were. Don't try to back out now.
