Remember when @Chicago was Payton/Saint kryptonite? We have overcome that, therefore we can overcome the @seattle monkey as well, might take a few more games, but history says we will get past this

It's completely mental. That's why I honestly think us having to go in the road, winning in Philly and playing very competitively in Seattle will pay dividends next year and moving forward with Payton and Brees

they were our worst matchup in the playoffs, period.

The bye from the 2nd seed wasn't what was the most important aspect for us, the chance of us having Carolina/SF (if they lost the tie breaker to carolina by losing 1 more game) beat Seattle was more important.

What should give everyone hope is this team's defensive performance in Rob Ryan's first year.

So basically, It might take 5 games, but eventually we'll win one of them. That's a losing mentality

they won in 06, 07, 08
we won in 11, 13

Seattle won in 10, 13, 13

There's plenty reason for optimism in Saintsville. Seattle got several lucky breaks against in the first half. Nearly all of our defensive starters were reserves - some third or fourth string. Honestly, I don't Seattle as being THAT much better than us. This second meeting saw us out-physical them in terms of smash mouth. Plus, we lit them up for yards. I wish we had stuck to the ground game more than we saw. The Saints are a top 5 team THIS year. Next year we're going to be right there in the thick of things.

You think our biggest issue with Seattle is mental?

Our biggest issue with Seattle was fumbled snap and poor kick from Morestead to start the game followed by a Mark Ingram fumble. Aside from that we win that game.

yes, but we still beat the rams at home in between.

we just need seattle to come to new orleans.. just like we finally got the bears to come to new orleans we whipped their arse.. then we went to the bears and won that as well.

It wasn't in between, but we did beat the same Seattle team, at home, that went on the beat us as a 7-9 home field playoff team.
