Lots of good players available early in this draft.

"It's sounding like Sean Payton won't be around next year, and he could take Drew Brees with him. "

That's when I stopped.

If cook is taken over Smith/ndkemiche/Floyd/Treadwell or hell even guys like Ashawn I'd literally break something.

Word. He thinks the Saints lose Brees after this year, hence the pick.

I'd take OLB Jaylon Smith from Notre Dame at that point

Smith is a great talent and would be a no brainer at 10.

He/Kikaha/Anthony/Cam would be a very solid foundation.

@hendo the three were Connor Cook/Sebastian Treola and some corner from UVA.

The front office should just poll Saints Talk for picks. Our track record is a hell of a lot better than theirs.

I about spit my drink out when I saw that this "mock" draft had us taking Connor Cooks 10th overall. IDGAF if we lose our entire offense next year, I want a defense.

Are we pretending that Cam isn't part of the problem?

If they'd just stop trying to be the 'smartest guy in the room' the results would be much better than what we've gotten.

Our front office at least takes a couple of years to give up on someone drafting Cook would be giving up on Grayson they won't do that

For me the value of these mock drafts isn't who they have the Saints selecting. That's irrelevant since they aren't the ones making the actual selections. The true value is the data the sites provide. These guys have done a ton of work in getting a sense of the draft worthiness of each prospect. So while the average fan might know the names of the prospects in round 1, we might not know all of the prospects in the later rounds. That's what I look for in these mock drafts.

Is there another Cam on the team? Cam Jordan has played pretty good this year.

I agree. I actually enjoy their mocks but they swing and miss a lot. I'm not going to pretend that I know the prospects for the first three rounds and that site is useful in that regard.

True dat. Some of the names I know, some I've never heard of. So it's good to get some info on prospects beyond the top 10 or 20 guys.
