I guess congrats on the SB. This is pointless. You're stuck on the fact I said they were a good amount better. Bottomline they looked better than the Saints did. On the road. With a rowdy home crowd.

it really is cause you only want to hear/read what you want to hear/read.

I mean, you could've said that the Saints were favored in Vegas. That's a fair point.
I'm sure somebody would've said that come sunrise.
But "yeah they lost to division rival, playoff Bears in OT" holds so much more value.

The Saints never trailed in the second half.
If "the better team that day" is the team that outgains the other yardage wise Drew Brees would have 7 rings. The Vikings had a dominant defense and the best offense in the league put a 31 spot on them. Of course the Vikings (top 5 O) is going to outgain the Saints going against the 25th best D in the league. It's called a bad matchup and the Saints still pulled it out. That's what made them 2009 SB champs

How about the comments of the Saints getting their arse kicked in that game? Why not DV those and ask them the same question?
The Vikes were the better team, NO just happened to win the game.
I don't see what's wrong with that statement.
Because I replied to this statement:
"The Vikings were the best team that year by a good amount. The Saints played hell of a game."
Not who was the best in the playoff game, you seem to have changed gears on my comment.

Absolutely....no way we should have won that game.
On top of that, the NFL changed the overtime rule because of that game.

This is by far your best post ever. Will probably be followed by something stupid as usual.

Long read but great article from a Vikings players perspective.

"Before writing this, I talked to some friends who were at the game. All of them said it was, without a doubt, the most amazing sporting event they had witnessed. The atmosphere during the game, the intensity on the field and in the stands with celebratory tears flowing, and the all-night party in the French Quarter were unforgettable. For those who were in the Superdome that night, the experience was incredible. But whether you were there or just watching on TV, there was more to that game than can be summed up by a line in a box score or recap. It was all of football, the emotion, physicality and subtle twists and turns of fate that dictate the lives of everyone associated with the game, all represented by a quarterback who fought like a warrior and came up short, through no fault of his own."

Of course it was, he threw 2 interceptions at critical times. Also, his QB rating was 70 as opposed to Brees at over 100 even though he threw for less yards Brees was more productive.
Anyway, I still think it's a very good read as a football fan.

Same. I don't even know if I would go back in time to relive being there. It was such an emotional grind the entire game.
But the feeling after it was over was one of the best things Ive ever got to experience.
