the hatred for Fred Thomas drives me nuts. He was more than a competent corner until he got old. I still think it is funny how he could never catch, and then the year he wears a club on his arm, he gets the most interceptions in his career.

But even in 2006 which was easily his worst year of his career and the one most remember, he was actually really good the first 6 weeks of the season, then got hurt and absolutely sucked after that.

I remember some time ago there was a bracket of "Most Hated Saints Players" that was published, and he actually lost in like the first round to Steve Walsh That was a great matchup for him though. I don't remember who Walsh ended up losing to, but they had to be high up the totem. Prolly Spags or Ditka lol

Imagine: he and Jason David on the islands.

Scary.

Thanks saintsfan92612 for updating. Was sick for a few days there.

And yeah, most Saints fans who have been around for a while know Fred Thomas was a really good corner for us. Then he got old and injured. The front office didn't draft a corner and brought in scrubs and they could never beat him out. I blame the front office more than him.

Easily his best year.

He also matched this in the 2006 season with Oakland. Threw only 8 INTs all year.

This guy here is the tits! And 6 more days until Saints football!

Looks like I screwed up yesterday. Kilmer was actually #6 in completions and Wilson was #7. But it doesn't mean we have to skip him because Dave Wilson is #6 in all time Saints history in interceptions: he had 551 completions with 36 touchdowns and 55 interceptions.

#6 in all time Saints history in rushing:
Chuck Muncie 3,393 yards on 788 attempts and 28 TDs. Also, he was an original hipster.

#6 in all time Saints history in receptions:
Pierre Thomas 327 receptions for 2,608 yards and 12 TDs. That's pretty amazing.

#6 in all time Saints history in tackles:
Roman Harper with 529 tackles.
The man everyone loves to hate. However, he did pay hold down the SS spot for the Saints for 7 years. He had 7 interceptions (1 for a TD) and 17 sacks to go along with his 529 tackles. He is also a 2 time Pro Bowler for the Saints, received the Ed Block Courage Award and is a member of The School of Legends.

#6 in all time Saints history in sacks:
Joe Johnson with 52.5 sacks.

#6 in all time Saints history in interceptions:
Johnnie Poe with 17 interceptions.
(And my bad, Toi Cook was #7 with 16 interceptions.)

#6 in all time Saints history in points scored:
Deuce McAllister with 330 points.

6 - Drew Brees (9/13/2009 vs Detroit)

Highest Average Yards Per Play, Season:
6.7 - 2011 (7,474 yards on 1,117 plays)

Fewest Fumbles in a Season:
6 - 2011 (5 lost). NFL RECORD

Fewest Points combined in a game:
6 - New Orleans 6 vs LA Rams 0 (11/9/1986)

Most consecutive games scoring a TD:
6 (4 times)-Dalton x2 (88-89 and 1992), Pierre Thomas (2008), Jimmy Graham (11-12)

Most consecutive games without throwing an Interception:
6 - Aaron Brooks 2003 (threw 11 TDs over the 6 games)

Damn, it makes me so mad we couldn't handle business in 2011. That team was so loaded. If Hartley can make a 23 yard FG we host the 9ers.

I HATE this thread. It is absolutely ridiculous. I am sitting here reading it and now I will not be productive for the next 3 1/2 days in anticipation of the start of preseason. Thanks for getting me amped up and unable to focus.
