If not: Thanks.

Can't help but to remember family who passed away, life-long fans who were always excited for preseason.

Two days late, but I put this together before realizing we were 12 days out on 08/01.

Besides, I had fun reading up on this fella, so I'm posting anyways.

Brandon Hugh 'Babe' Laufenberg

Babe ranks an impressively-high (low-?) #3 in Deadspin's 100 worst players in NFL History.

quote:

In 1990, the Cowboys needed to win one of their final two games to reach the playoffs. When Troy Aikman was injured against Philadelphia on December 23, Laufenberg came in and completed 13 of 36 passes with four interceptions.

The following week, starting against Atlanta, he went 10-for-24 with one touchdown and two picks. Dallas lost both contests — and the Babe never appeared in another NFL game

OTOH, Lee Corso loves him some Babe..
