Why is BI scared to raise up over Dort? And why does Willie hate Jonas?

He has 5 inches on him and it’s even more in actual length because of his long arms. He’s playing like a scared bitch. At least CJ is busting his arse, his shot just isn’t falling. I would feed Jonas Saturday until they price they can stop it. Yea he missed a couple easy layups but he and Herb are playing their asses off. It just feels like Wille and Griff both hate Jonas and I don’t understand why. It’s going to suck seeing him on a playoff team beating our arse next season while we have Larry and some tall, skinny cuck at 5 that is afraid to be physical.

Go watch Chet from last night’s game and you’ll get your answer.

I’ll still take his physicality, rebounding and offensive game. Plus he’s a great guy in the locker room and he plays literally every game and gives all he has every night. Find a Larry replacement and bring Jonas back and you get the best of both worlds.

Jonas is getting run off of the court . I don’t understand how ppl are not seeing that .

There are teams that Jonas matches up well against and can be helpful . This is not one of those teams .

Thunder are begging us to play through Jonas bc they know they will abuse him on the other end and outscore us.

IMO we have to go small . Play Dyson CJ, Herb, Trey, BI and use Jose, nance Naji off the bench . We Will absolutely get beat on the glass but Run , move the ball and hope 3s go down . Make Shai have to defend a little bit and pick him up full court from start to finish .

Yes I agree but for teams like Minnesota and others that have true big men you need traditional centers. I’m not saying give Jonas $15 mil a year again but I would gladly give him 2 years $22 million to finish his career as a Pel and then draft or find a Larry replacement that can run for matchups like OKC. We need both options. That’s just me though. People forget all those 20 and 15 games Jonas gave us that allowed Z to play better because JV did all the dirty work.

Then you’ll lose like we are.

Again, not saying he’s s good matchup for OKC but we need to be able to have both options to be a true contender. This season is over I’m looking to next year. Jonas most likely wants out anyway though and I can’t blame him. I hope Karlo Matkovic comes over next season.

We set up him off the high post pretty regularly, it's up to him to raise up and take the shot. That shot is there all game. It's not an efficient play but It's up to him to take it. At this point, if he's out there and is not taking 20-30 shots, we're in trouble.

Some of yal are nauseating. BI takes a contested mid-range jumper and some of yal would be crying too.

Pels got called for about 15 offensive foul calls last night, BI got the crucial offensive foul call called against him game 1 down the stretch against Dort. But homeboy Chet can do this and shuffle his feet like the Happy Feet penguin

Were you watching the same game as me? Did you not see Chet basically assaulting Jonas with the refs swallowing their whistles? He even got hit square in the back of the head right in front of a red and the guy that did it started laughing because he knew they wouldn’t call it. Plus look at the free agent options at center this offseason. It’s ugly. Claxton will get a new deal with the Nets and that leaves Jonas and guys like Mason Plumlee and Andre Drummond. Hartenstein is intriguing but I bet he stays in NYC too.

There were some dumb offensive calls sure but Chet assaulting Jonas?? Chet scored 26 and some were threes, jumpers and others were off screens. JV cant guard that. The calls were horrendous but those calls had nothing to do with Chet beating JV on defense. Come on man you know better.

Not the only way to upgrade at center.

True but we are t finding a staring 5 in the draft where we are picking and the good centers are rare in the NBA so the price to trade for one would be high. I get you do t like JV and that’s cool, he definitely has drawbacks but my point is he also has positives and I don’t see how we upgrade without sending out someone integral to our team. Now if they can make a trade for a 5 around BI I’m all for it but trades are hard to do.

I love JV as a person and his demeanor. I think unfortunately in todays nba its impossible to play him unless its limited minutes. He comes back for cheap in a limited role- im good with that. Good centers are not rare- we dont need Jokic or Embiid. Even a guy like Onyeka or even Gafford would do wonders on this team. We have tons of draft picks, young guys and probably BI to get a decent to good center. Its possible man. Centers aren’t some crazy rarity- we just have never properly seeked one. I think that will be key this offseason.

Yves Missi is an interesting prospect that we can draft. I know some of us wanted Lively, Jarrett Allen and Walker. Feels like he can hold the defense down inside the paint. Can’t shoot outside so that’s why he’s projected in our area. However, Willie Green probably won’t play him the first season lol.

I like Missi but lets see if hes there at 21. I have a feeling he’ll be gone and agree doubt Willie gives a RC center any run.
