I can't get 3-1/2 years of not looking like he gave a shite out of my mind.

He gave a shite both last year and this year(he could've been out for the season but came back)

And half a season from a guy making his money just ain't worth the investment.

He's played over 75% of his games the past 2 years and has been productive.

Also, this is a wish list, and I wish the Pelicans could get players better suited for them.

Like whom?

I doubt anyone would take Gordon with his current contract. The Pelicans are stuck with him

This is false,with his recent play+being an expiring he's an asset.

ding.

expirings = attractive

shooter that hits 41.7% (44.6% post ASB iirc) from 3
career 38.3% and shot 39.1% the year prior as well.
shot 40.6% from 3 against a quality SG in thompson as well.

That in itself give teams a reason to want him.
here are some "tradeable" SGs available (this is of course IMO based on production, year(s) left on the contract, and if they are touchable. Of course DWade, Kobe, Manu, Harden, Thompson, etc aren't)
Johnson -> 20.6mil
EG -> 14.6mil
Iguodala -> 12.0mil
Stephenson -> 9.0mil
Mayo -> 8.0mil
Afflalo -> 7.3mil
Redick -> 6.9mil
Martin -> 6.9mil
