Damn that's impressive those are five good players. If we missed five legit players we'd be worse than the sixers.

WHOOO ROCKETS GO DOWN!! They haven't looked good against bad teams recently and they still haven't played a stretch of good teams yet.

It was only a matter of time before they came back to the pack. Memphis is an injury away from the same thing.

Easiest schedule in the league. It's going to get much harder for them.

Depends who it is. If it is Marc Gasol then sure, other losses can be sustained thanks to the bench. The Grizz just took the team with the best record in the East down to the wire on their homecourt missing 5 of the top 8 rotation players.

Marc Gasol is not as important as Dwight Howard. There's no "Gasol" Effect article.

Excuses RTR, excuses.

Memphis is basically 8 deep. Any significant injury to that starting 5 and they are in trouble.

You could say that about literally every team in the west. Maybe not the entire starting five, but pretty much every team has at least three players who if injured for more than 5 or so games could really hurt that team's playoff chances. That's how tough the West is.

Umm no try 11 and that's not counting on how the 2 rookies develop. Partly why they were able to keep it competitive with the Raptors tonight.

Memphis is not 8 guys deep...6 of your bench players play AT LEAST 12 minutes a game.

Vince Carter is like the 4th option off the bench too.

Pelicans are 8 guys deep, if even. more like 7

That's also not including Calathes who was a very good back up PG last year and helped keep the team afloat when Conley missed around 8-10 games with an ankle injury.

Beno, Calathes, Pondexter, Luer, Kufos, VC, and Tayshaun all provide some quality depth.

Yea, Memphis is a deep roster. They are legit.

We are a thin roster, with 1 great player and 5 good players. Then we have a few OK bench players. Please fricking stay healthy.

I am gonna stick with 8...

you are a grizzlies fan so you are going to over value players much like we over value players on our team.

Vince Carter is not the same Vince Carter of yore. He is a 37 year old vet who is in his swan song. He better be no better than your 4th option.

Vince carter plays the same role as luke Babbitt does for us. Vince>>>>>>than Babbitt. Leuer>>Ajinca. Calathes>>>Freddete.

On what world is Calathes a very good backup PG? His PER last year wasn't even in the top 50 among PGs. Seems like you could replace him with almost anyone and get equal or better production. Is his defense outstanding?

Isn't Udrih their backup PG? He's pretty solid. So Calathes would be their 3rd PG, or like their tenth man. I don't know his equivalent on the rockets, but like I said he's roughly the equivalent of Freddette on the Pels and I'd definitely take Calathes over Freddette

Comparing their bench to our bench doesn't make them have a good bench. They are an 8 deep team. That starting 5 is going to play a ton of minutes.

We need a better bench and help at the 3. They could use some help at the 2 and bench help.
