Combine Interview

I really think he could have a big impact for us.

The question is: Will dell/monty swing for the fences?

Dont think we need to waste another top 10 pick on a combo guard.

Need to go another Direction IMO

I've been on the CJ bandwagon for some time now. I'd be down for getting him

Same. If he wouldnt of broken his foot this year he would be a top 5 guy no doubt IMO. Kid can ball.

Find my post that says I want burke. I think there's a decent chance we draft him but I've said i hate burke for our team since I joined.

Yet you want Bennett? How in the world does he fit this team?

This dude will be a legit NBA PG, and a great fit for the Pels. I'm tempted to like him more than Burke just b/c of the size.

Some excerpts from his strengths section:

quote:

His off the dribble variety is elite—hesitation, rocker and crossover—excellent shiftiness and ability to burst through an open seam

quote:

Highly efficient in both isolation offense and the pick & roll, resulting in a score % of 49.2% and 45.7%

quote:

Renowned for his comfort level dribbling into a jumper from mid-range or distance

quote:

Hunts cheap points at the free throw line (6.7 attempts for his career, 82% accuracy) – has added 35-40 pounds since first arriving on campus

quote:

Plays with a palpable air of confidence; for every defensive design, he has the ability to counter

quote:

Plays well within the team concept, yet still possesses the one on one package to break away from it when necessary. 6’6 wingspan-- major factor on both backboards (6.3 career, 7.8 sophomore) and creates absolute havoc in passing lanes (2.1 steals) ... From a mental acuity and physical maturity standpoint, he’s ready.

All of his strengths translate very well to the NBA game.

He'll likely win ROY IMHO FWIW IYKWIM, similar to Lillard in that he's a 4 yr college guy and his game has developed more making him more ready to contribute as a rookie. The question is who will be the better player in about 4 years when we have to start thinking about that 2nd contract?

I wouldn't mind him at all if McLemore, Olandipo, and Porter are gone. He's in that same realm as Burke (who likely has more room to develop, both his game and physically), so if the FO chooses him, I'd be cool with it.

Big fan of McCollum. Basically identical to Curry. Same questions about him... Can he run an NBA offense. Well he looks to have a high IQ and a hard worker like Curry. Shoots lights out. I think he will be the best PG from this draft.

Here's a thread I started on 12/12/12 about him, comparing him to Lillard:

MCW not a good enough scorer for me. Love his size though.
