Does a "clutch hitter" get a hit every time? When Papi comes up in the 9th does he drive home the run every time????!!!!

Did big shot bob make every shot he took at the end of a game?

Being clutch doesn't mean you have to be perfect.

Coming back from down 3-1 and 19 down on the road in game 6 = Clutch

May have to check on this: But only franchise to come back from down 3-1 more than once in the history of the league = Clutch

Their only real success is our lack of success.

Unfortunately for us lately, the reverse is equally true.

Unfortunately for them, Anthony Davis is on our team, and Monty Williams won't be our coach next year.

PLease bro give me a break. I ain't claiming any consolation medals.

I meant from the standpoint that this thread is SUPPOSED to be about Thibs and the Pels, not whether or not the Rockets had a successful postseason.

Derailed.

The only name I've seen that scares me in our coaching search is Vinny Del Negro, and I doubt that has any real chance of happening.

JVG would make me a happy camper, but it's hard to go wrong with Thibs or Gentry.

I still can't believe we fired Monty - I was sure he had bought himself one more year despite the fact that we all knew he wasn't the guy for the job. I love that we pulled the trigger now.

These are exciting times.

Paul flannery, who wrote the long AD piece on sbnation, is convinced game 3 cost Monty his job

Yes he's had more success than people seem to give him credit for, but it does say something that 2 teams felt they needed a HC change to get to the next level.

Listen, AD will definitely be looking around, or rather, his agent will (or already has), for what the best deal for AD is. He may stay with the Pels, but not before he tests the market for his skills. Face it, it's a business decision.

Now, considering that Kobe Bryant's contract ends the same time that AD's contract ends, that makes for some very interesting possibilities, especially since the Lakers have, what, the number 2 slot this year in the draft (which gives them more to offer in a trade next year).

With Kobe's 25 million gone, AD could slide right in for the Laker's. They have a long and successful history of taking care of their stars, which includes winning NBA championships.

Along with the Lakers, some other teams will also be romancing AD.

There is a very real chance AD will go...to LA..or somewhere else. I mean, just ask CP about it.

Lots of time for Pels to get this right. The first step is getting the right coach to whip this team into a serious playoff contender to start the year long sell on AD to stay here with our Pels.

I doubt if Thibs actually told anyone he thinks AD will leave soon

If AD leaves, I'm done with the NBA. Move the fricking team out of New Orleans bc it's just a futile, farm system at that point.

Yes, I know, soooo, the only way the AD trade could happen is if the Pels' management makes a business decision to "improve" the team by letting AD walk.

But that would never happen, right?

You do realize that this happened well after CP3 was into his first extension, right?
