Tom Thibodeau has no interest, I'm told, in coaching Pelicans (feels Davis will leave when pact permits), Magic (Skiles on tap) or Nuggets.

What a dick. Screw that guy, now I see why Chicago's management hated him

If this is true he's on my shite list. It's like when the ugly chick who you didn't ask out turns you down and then insults you because she thought you liked her.

That's ridiculous if he actually publically said that.

Also he is most likely in New Orleans for a very long time before its even a real consideration.

Thibs is pretty close to AD. If he doesn't want the job because he feels like AD is going to leave, I'd have to imagine that is more than just a hunch, so to speak...

AD will stay if this is a place he can win championships, plus Pels can pay him the most out of anybody. He will be definitely be here the next 4 years. Thibs didn't want to come here 5 years ago and doesn't want to come now so frick him.

Not close enough to think he can keep him from leaving New Orleans.

Or Thibs has no confidence he can win here. AD wouldn't leave a winning team .

First, Peter Vecsey is hack who lost all nba relevance 20 years ago. He was Skip Bayless before they were giving those hacks their own tv shows. Just a few days ago his "sources" were still telling him Dumars was involved in our coaching search.

Second, Im positive Thibs understands basic nba contracts.

Third and most important imo, when JVG decided to go after the Pels job, Thibs was eliminated. Those two are way too close to go for the same job.

Thibs knew he was getting fired. JVG knew Thibs was getting fired. The fact this was the job JVG decided to go for after all these years, knowing Thibs was probably candidate, leads me to believe those two had to have had a conversation beforehand.

This makes no sense. So you don't want a job because AD will leave in a few years yet you're willing to take a job with no AD on the roster at all.

Jesus people calm down. Thibs and JVG are really good friends to the point the Bulls think the rant was something they worked out together. JVG has targeted the Pels as THE job he wants after all these years right? So now an absolute hack says that Thibs thinks Davis is out of here and doesn't want the job, 'mI inclined to believe that he's not going to fight it out with his boy who just went on air and had his back in a huge way.

IMO Thibs is a better coach but I think JVG would be a perfect fit here.

That kind of scorched earth leaking is a bit odd for the current propaganda cycle. My guess is he doesn't want the job for whatever reason, be it not competing with his mentor JVG or maybe he really wants to coach the Lakers, and his camp gave no reason for why he didn't want the job so Vescey's source, who could be the bitter car keying ex in Chicago for all we know, said "Why wouldn't he want to coach AD? He must think he's going to leave next year like everyone else on the Interwebz thinks. "

As long as we get Tibs or JVG I'll be happy

Anybody else and we need to rethink our front office

We NEED better publicity and more ESPN games. AD seems like a humble guy, however if we still getting 3 ESPN games, he should consider other options

Its not that I dont want Gentry or Del because they won't be good coaches, but instead they wont be that big name this organization needs to be respected as a contender ( Consistent Playoff and national TV contender)
