The Big Question: Will "Benson" be willing to go deep into the Lux Tax?

Or will he have a hard cap at just over the lux and not allow us to take on too much salary after that?
Will we go Cavs scorched earth and take on salary, or will we be frugal with everyone beyond AD/Boog/Jrue?
I have to think it will be somewhere in the middle, we will get into the Lux but not too deep.

No, we are not going to be Dan Gilbert. The ownership is not going to go deep into lux tax territory. I think we would dip a toe in, but we are still the smallest of markets. Maybe in the unlikely event that we win it all next year, we would spend bigger one year to try for repeat.

The GM is given a budget every year. No exceptions. But Dell has been going under it year after year and will again this year. Will Benson roll it over when it's time and allow him to go over?
That is the question but they don't have to worry about lux next year. Starting in 18-19, they might. If they are a real contender I think he gives thumbs up and goes year to year after that

its a stupid question, hey tom, you may have to write an extra 25 million check that you would never spend no how and still make money but we going big trying to win a championship before you croke.
