Game 2

Seth Curry and Larry Drew looking really good again

Derek Harper keeps repeating how good our defense was last year, we just need to improve our offense...you're a paid commentator, you have one job.

Ugly game in the 2nd half. Nothing really notable

Curry is shooting at an awful percentage for these two games. Haven't seen any of it, but it sounds like he's still playing well.

9/17 isn't awful. That's over 50%. He's undeniably shot poorly today. Still, he's putting points on the board. I expect to see him on the roster at the start of the season.

He was 9/17 game 1, thats solid. 9/23 game two. Not good.

Main problem is his 3 point shot hasn't been there yet.

The offense bogged down in the second half. They stopped running and everybody just kind of stood around watching Curry go one-on-one. He wasn't shy about putting shots up.

Drew played the entire second half and Curry only got about a 30 second break. They obviously wanted to get a long look at those two. Wouldn't surprise me if they sit one of these next few games, so the other guards can get a look.

Fuquan Edwin looked decent. Other than that, not much went on.

9-23 and 1-9 on threes today. He's putting up points playing 30+ minutes in SL. Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for the guy. I realize that his role on the main roster would obviously be different, but I think we need to see him shoot at higher percentage in his SL role.

You could also look at it as a positive that he is still getting his points with his biggest weapon not firing. He can shoot the 3 as evidenced by his D-League and college performances. But he has now found other ways to impact a game when that shot isn't falling.

That's the half glass full outlook, at least

I love how he finishes in traffic at the rim like his brother. It's so calm, and he puts the ball high up on the glass. That's the one thing that's stuck at to me that's Steph-esque.

Going into his senior year, he was a jump shooter. Plain and simple. 90% of his half court attempts were jumpers. But over that summer he developed floaters, runners, etc. and has continued that evolution. He can score in multiple ways now.

He can do that in this league for sure, and his defense was high effort with some high impact plays (5 steals today).

He is a 5th guard in this league with the potential to be a 9th man one day. Whether that is for the Pels or someone else. And that was true before 2 summer league games. True after

He's contributing on defense and in other ways besides scoring and that will definitely help his case.

Edwin has also been really solid imo as has drew.

Have at least 2 decent candidates for a 5th guard.
