I disagree .

His output is replaceable . We aren’t talking about moving a current all star … just a really good offensive player .

You either get a good player in return (Mikal Bridges type) or a guy that you think can become an all star level player .

But the idea would be to get more than his output.

We already have that in Zion. So what's the point of moving him just to bring in a comparable talent?

The only way the FO moves him is if they can have him highlight a package that returns a top 10 level player. Or you do an AD type trade that gives you a bunch of picks to start over.

the answer is yes then upvote, if its no then downvote. We will never see Peak Zion again, like in December last year, unless BI gets traded or goes out with another long term injury and this coaching staff and FO is forced into letting Zion take over the team.

You think seeing peak zion is as simple as trading ingram?

To me much of it is on zion.

My point is if you can replace his output it doesn’t have to be a rebuild .

Pels have too many other players to be in total rebuild .

Teams get themselves in trouble by hoping their best players become stars and shuffling the deck around them only to find out that their other pieces aren’t the issue and the value on the big piece is bumpkis

So if you believe there is upside with your others, move the “big piece “ while maybe you can still get fair value and see if the group can be better than the sum of its parts or get an asset that you think has a higher ceiling than what Zion’s currently is .

Replacing his output means we are exactly what we are right now... anywhere from 5-8 in the west. So what's the point of moving him unless we make a move that vaults us into top 4?

consistent all star selection and all NBA atleast once

with his basketball IQ and lack of effort, this is almost certainly never going to happen

Probably so you don't have to pay him his new contract.

This one has become pretty clear, IMO.

So trade him for a bunch of expirings?

That's a rebuild.

I'd trade BI for an expiring like Hayward and a bunch of Charlotte picks.

BI isn't going to make that shite franchise good. I'd love to get their picks.

You need to watch Zion every possession on defense. He has never boxed out. He stands there watching the shot, and does not even fill the void in the paint. He needs to be traded as soon as possible. Unfortunately the Pels missed a chance to upgrade their roster when they let Siakam go to Indiana. I believe the Pels could have offered Toronto a sweeter deal.

Is there anyone who can replace Zion's output on a cheaper contract that is available?

What is your opinion of Zion’s future as a player in the league:

Upvote : consistent all star selection and all NBA atleast once

Downvote: occasional All Star (say 2-3 more times max) but no All NBA
