How can you spell you u but not spell Suckers Suckas? And while I wish Tyreke the best, especially if he stays with the team, guys that spent the summer rehabbing instead of training usually don't start the season playing very well. Hopefully he can be ready for training camp at least.

Hopefully he can pass a physical when we trade him.

Tyreke is a competitor. I like him. I want a healthy Reke and a healthy QPon and lets see whats up. Jrue has played ok but leaves a lot to be desired imo.

That's my biggest qualm with Jrue. He's good and solid but he does nothing that defines him as a player. He doesn't play with passion or have one standout skill and to be considered a cornerstone guy you need one skill that you are great at.

Good, he will need plenty of gas to whatever destination he is traded to.

Other than play phenominal defense right?

If he can give us great defense and 5-10 assists with an occasional 3 pointer he's doing what we need...we can build around him and AD.

Just need him to stay healthy.

He also doesn't have any major weaknesses. He doesn't need to be a cornerstone player, we have one of those already. He just needs to stay healthy and be good at alot of things, which he is.

Give him other scorers to pass to, and he will look like an all-star. Having QPon back will help with kick-out 3s. Hopefully we can get Hield or Murray in the draft for other options. Then I'm assuming we will get one other guy in free agency that will help.

Honestly, I propose that we, as Pelicans fans, retire "cornerstone" from the board lexicon. Let's go with Keystone. No more bitter beer face, amirite?

His defense is ok not phenomenal at any point. Maybe if he was a Tony Allen or Avery Bradly type defender then it would make him that really great piece but he's not.

MM has said many times that he thinks that Gentry thinks Reke has the BBall IQ of a retarded slug that just husked mescaline.

Tyreke is vital for a good regular season IMO. He is an offensive mismatch that can easily step up when one of the key other guys is out.

He is the main reason we made the playoffs two seasons ago bc he was always available when the others got hurt. He is IDEAL for the off the bench instant offense with the 2s but can easily step up, put the team on his back, and be the man for short stints when guys like AD or Jrue are out which will inevitably happen during the reg season.
