My opinion is without this trade, we never have the ability to build around AD. Cousins is a talent that we had no right to get, but props to Demps for getting him at such a low opportunity cost. In the right system, Cousins and Davis make us a top 8 team in the league, so I did and still do love this trade!

Love the pick up, love the player.

We need a coach who can build an offense around our 2 top guys, not a coach trying to cram his style into the players he currently has...which does not fit...at all.

41pts and 17rebs. With 5 threes.

Cousins is finding his way with a new team. Some growing pains should have been expected. Even in off nights boogie has rebounded the ball well.

I like Cousins, once he gets used to his new team we can make a big step. He is extremely talented

The way he plays in the paint with AD will be key to this run.

I like what I see now when it comes to chemistry between Boogie, AD, and Jrue. Jrue is playing much better. Boogie needs to get in better shape but the man has skills. He can get that big body to the rim from the 3 point line almost at will.

I know he can be an arse on court and needs to get that in check some, but he really is so much more entertaining and endearing than 99% of sanitized professional athletes and just fits in so well here:

Cousins: I saw AD made some comments he would never throw me a lob. So, we worked on that today in practice. That's going to have to change.

Cousins laughingly said he wasn't a lob threat last week, so I doubt we see an AD to Boogie alleyoop. Lobbing it in for a layup could work.

Cousins is Cousins. He is not going to change. Sign him to a max contract and see if Demps can lure a FA or two this summer or next. If not, trade Cousins to the Knicks.

Full video is on Pelicans.com of AD post game talking about the pick and roll game. Sorry on phone or id link. To display it, go to media central and click entire video playlist it's right after the toast for coast stuff. cousins touches on it too. AD legit had me laughing though. It's a must watch.
