He can't get up like that anymore since the knee injuries. You can tell he tries to take it to the basket but he's not really that effective.

Yep, you can see glimpses of the talent, but his knee really was screwed up, apparently. Sucks for us on a couple of levels.

He used to be a shite ton thinner too. Dude gained a lot of injury weight.

WOAH. I did not realize that he used to be that explosive.

This is not an opinion. It is fact.
He doesn't bounce off his steps anymore. He does his 2-step layups now.
For lack of better words, instead of bouncing off the floor, his legs clearly absorb more impact than they should.

Yeah, that video is depressing. If he could still do that I'm sure he would. Now I remember why #NEGNC

EG actually uses his body and current jumping ability pretty well when driving, just having a tough time with his touch.

I don't think he has even attempted to dunk this year, even on fast breaks.

I agree. His issue this season has been finishing after contact. He's getting to the basket at a high rate imo. He's unable to finish consistently for whatever reason this season.

I don't believe that his struggle is due to a lost his athleticism or even his first step. Watch him against Indiana earlier in the year and tell me he can't get to the basket with ease or that he can't get up like he used to.

Whatever the reason is, I think it's more mental than physical. New team mates, not sure what his role is, Williams system, or maybe even confidence in his knee could be holding him back but it's definitely impossible to tell what's up with his sporadic play.
